Here's the thing. Way back when I was interested in this. A fucking throwback to 90s space games- a genre as dead as adventure games.
I wanted a new Wing Commander or Starlancer (yeah nobody remembers that one but it was GOOD). They could have done that in 3-4 years.
But no they had to go full MMO and that is when I noped out.

Of course not. Even if it takes another 10 years... the point is the game is still far away from release, so bugs and crashes in live demos is typical.You actually believe them...??

You know there were at least a few developers telling management what they could or couldn't demo.(And they got over-ruled.)That's why in the tech field, we try to avoid live demos where possible. Still pretty funny
Hey, you left out Freespace 2. (That was an absolute banger of a game, I wonder if any of the custom campaigns are worth playing.) Oh that reminds me, the way this is going the fan remaster of Wing Commander 4 will come out before this.(It's suppose to give it modern graphics. They've even got a demo of it.)

The point is that you won't see it on console for a long time. Not before backers have SQ42 in their hands. It was never focused to be on console.

This must be a joke lol. This shows you haven't played games then for years. Majority of the "finished games" have a lot of issues or crashes, bugs or performance issues.

You haven't payed attention do you? PC gaming is at it's worst these days, but you must have your head in the ground. Do i like games that crash? No but SC doesn't crash at all. The replication layer fixed the 30K from a long time ago.

Release year. Far enough away to deduce that there is a lot more missing than just ‘polish’. Which brings them to the perfect spot to move the release further back.
The good thing is that SQ42 has a major investor behind it. At a certain point, heads are likely to roll. That should also benefit Star Citizen.
