Not yet - though there are some nice Mirror Universe "Klingon Alliance" ships which can be bought for a few hundred thousand energy credits on the Exchange.
I think it's not too grindy to get to T5, it's just time-gated. I ran the Patrol Tau Dewa daily and got all the marks I needed to make T1 in Romulan Rep at the end of it. One Elite STF will do the same.
Plus, you earn Romulan Marks in the Romulan story missions now, and Omega marks in a lot more places.
The earliest we'll see T5 characters though will be in three months.

For DOFF packs, you'll need to be at least level 7 to open them.
What I don't like is that the rep is also an EC leech. Before you could get STFs done for gear and also get EC for selling loot drops. Now there's no loot, and you have to buy 100s of commodities with EC for even first tiers of rep. Nothing in game seems to even award EC anymore, as missions give either dil, rep marks or fleet marks instead.
The loot is being added back in - it was in the last patchnotes on Tribble.
I find I get enough EC just running Science and Exploration assignments constantly and selling the Particle Traces on the exchange. Make about 2,000,000 a day that way.
A single Methogenic Particle Trace will sell for about 150k EC at the moment. Make sure you're running the science and exploration missions which award data samples - when they get a Critical Success they award particle traces.
The Survey Ruins mission also has a chance of giving an Unpowered Alien Artefact, which can sell for about 700k as well.
On Klingon side, you can run Marauding assignments with a high chance to grant Contraband. This sells for about 50k each, or you can turn 5 of them in to a contact on DS9 (or the First City) for 2000 Dilithium.
*Also*, you can speak to various contacts on Starfleet/Klingon academy for duty officers (with a 2-ish day cooldown). You can sell white DOFFs for about 30 to 100k each.

Quick question, why didn't I get the inventory slot upgrade when I subscribed. Do I need to be at certain level for it to unlock?
I'm not sure about all the other goodies, I'm still figuring out the UI (I know I can create more characters though).

You get an extra row of slots at each rank up (not level, but every tenth level). I think it's like an extra six inventory slots and an extra twelve bank slots each rank. Also an additional BOFF and ship slot too.
whelp I think I put between $30 or $40 towards trying to get a Jhem ship and no luck....oh wait part of that was the 10 key temporal set no luck on Temporal ship as well got a couple purple Temporal officers that are simply tactical.

I was sad I had to be level 24 to start a Klingon so I did not reach that goal before the duty officer pack went off sale. My goal was to buy a few packs for both sides but oh well I stil had mega fun heh spent more than I should have.

Apparently the Reputation projects are going to start *rewarding* Dilithium in the next patch or two. Should help keep supplies up.
Quiz: what perks are you guys picking for the Omega / New Romulus reputation levels?
It depends on the character. I've only completed levels on my main, who is a tac, so for her I'm going with anything that benefits attack power primarily. Being able to kill things faster will probably be of more benefit than having a tiny bit more survivability. For my engineer, it will probably be the reverse of course.
They're doing a 20% off ship sale until the 25th, excluding the new Vestas, so if you were looking to get one of the C-store ships, now might be the time. It coincides with a 15% bonus Zen sale, which is oddly enough not helping to further drive down the dilithium cost on the exchange, although it's probably the ship sale driving it upward.

We've got some improvements to the Dilithium situation coming up today - Reputation projects reward about 250 Dilithium average (total of 1000 per day) and STFs start giving out bonus Omega Marks and Borg Neural Processors, which can also be turned in for Dilithium. So hopefully that kick starts the economy.
Ok, I'm still not entirely satisfied with the loss of easy Investigate Officer Reports, but at least the STFs are almost back up to parity in terms of dilithium. We have immediate access to the project that converts 50 Omega Marks to 500 dilithium, and you get at least 60 in any elite. So that sort of means that you get 960 base, 200 from the neural processor once you have 5 to make 1000, and 500 from converting the inevitably excess marks, so 1660 dilithium per elite STF, and now there's a loot roll at the end too.
I was getting worried that the Dilithium option from running the Romulan reputations would end at T5, but didn't realise there was a project now to convert Romulan Marks into dilithium too...
I think now is the perfect time to sell Dilithium because the supply is going to ratchet up again in the next few days as power players start earning more.

Edit: On another note, the Tier 3 shipyard should be finishing up tomorrow afternoon. We have plenty of provisions for it, so plenty to go around. The really interesting ships to me are of course the Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit (Defiant) and the Fleet Advanced Heavy Cruiser Retrofit (Excelsior). Starbase Tier 3 will start immediately after that, but we really need some of you to start playing again. If everyone could just do one fleet action daily (for the 50 fleet marks) per day, it would go a long way toward getting that project along.

Just hit Tier 4 in both reputation systems, still picking the purely offensive perks. Tried out an ESTF right after, and it definitely felt like I was doing a lot more damage. Sadly I forgot to keep a project slot clear so I could get the torpedo immediately, but I'll just have to wait until tomorrow for that one I guess.
Got my Omega Plasma Torpedo Launcher finally. Could have had it yesterday, but I forgot I had the standard projects queued up after the ones that finished T4. The very first STF I used it in taught me the valuable lesson that you shouldn't fire a high yield Omega plasma torpedo at point blank range while damaged.
It seems to fire its normal projectiles rather rapidly, though like most torpedoes, they don't do that much against shielded targets. Take down the shields and a single HYT can really wreck up most things. Just like the Borg ones though, they're quite slow so they'd probably be useless in PvP.
I don't know how long this will last, but the Investigate Officer Reports daily seems to have a bugged cooldown. Release notes said 30 minutes, but it was just 90 seconds for me, or perhaps it was counting down from when I first accepted it. An easy mission I found was "Battle Royale." It basically consists of just a few rounds of battleship-type ships duking it out with you and each other. If you have a cloaking ship, you can just fall back a bit and cloak, then kill the survivor. Even better, if you do kill ships, they drop tons of vendor trash, including semi-valuable shields/deflectors/engines.
Edit: Never mind about the timer. I guess I accepted the daily while I was still on my way back to Earth, so the counter starts ticking from that moment, not when you finish the mission.

I had some Zen left over... ended up buying the Galaxy class Retrofit with saucer sep.
I never realized how much I was missing out with Cruisers till I played with that... that thing is a fucking tank in durability

Love the Galaxy class ships, I use a Dreadnought. It's a tank and looks like one too. Only wish the phaser spinal lance was more powerful.
