Star Wars Outlaws: Official Launch Trailer

I've watched it three times now and couldn't see a back hand slap to a helmet?

She had a pistol in her hand, to the back of his neck?

But..

It's not unheard of in Star Wars. These women are brutal slappers

Don't know about the trailer in this thread, but in a gameplay video, where she doesn't hold anything in her hand, it was insanely jarring:

...That does actually look like her if you squint. Except they've just added shit hair and a bum chin :pie_thinking:

I feel like they made her irises too big. I get weird alien vibes from looking at her.

I dont care its Star Wars thing, it just looks stupid as fuck. Its sci-fi, give her some kind of electric power gloves or something....but no, she knocks out a fully armoured trooper with her bare hands.

In Sekiro we couldn't do death blow to armoured warrior because he was fully armoured, so next logical step is throw him out the bridge.

Even tho the game is almost pure fantasy with monsters and demons, things like this makes the world believable.

Fromsoft games have ruined all other games for me.

That fight in particular took me a while to work out.
When it hit me I had a huuur duur moment. That was so obvious yet brilliant.

Maybe it's running on a 21:9 screen.
It probably isn't because then they wouldn't have to add those black bars; they would come naturally on a 16:9 screen. If it was real 21:9, however, it would have filled my 21:9 screen properly. Now I have black bars on left, right, top and bottom.

To be fair, many games (and trailers) do this. But from AAA production I expect more. Especially when a game from 2018 (Shadow of the Tomb Raider) had perfect 21:9 support where even cutscenes were in proper ultra wide screen without any cutting, zooming or other compromise; they really went the extra mile for having 21:9 in mind when framing the entire game from gameplay to cutscenes.

If you look most death blow for most enemies, he never stabs the armore itself, its either stabs their neck or under the arms because thats where their flash is exposed.

It just nice attention to detail.

Holy crap, SJRB SJRB , You was right. Damn, this helmet slap business seems to be a running 'theme' in modern Star Wars :pie_thinking:

God these people are hacks.

I feel like they made her irises too big. I get weird alien vibes from looking at her.

You too eh? Glad I wasn't the only one a bit weirded out first of all. Although I was getting Critters/Stripe from Gremlins vibes..

I dunno. The initial trailer looked better than this, had me more excited. It felt like there's more to discover.

This is just an ok trailer, it makes the game feel more limited in scope.

You guys lied to me. I was assured her model only looked like it did because it was early pre release build. Is this trailer alpha code?

You get FIVE DAYS early access when you fork over another 30 bucks?

Insane. The entire game will be spoiled online before regular edition players get the chance to start playing.

This early access stuff is absolute dogshit.
Gold editions gets you the season pass as well. But yeah, thank god ea didnt pull this shit with Dragon Age.

I am gonna try it out for 20 bucks but I am not expecting great things here. Ubi has become the most mediocre company there is. And Massive? I finished Division (6/10) and Avatar (5/10).

There was also World in Conflict (9/10) but that was in pre-Ubi days so it does not count.
Dam, you have the original Division at 6/10?

I loved that game. I hate multiplayer games, but it was so good, I played the endgame for hundreds of hours.

To be fair I just played it singleplayer and only the story so I did not get as much from it as you. But it just didn't grab me enough to invest anymore time. Winter NY was pretty cool though.
I can see that. The singleplayer campaign was pretty basic. The endgame/multiplayer was where you really had to focus on your build and team up with other players, especially in the Dark Zone.

Ya, the winter in NYC was on point. DC in the summer in Division II just didn't have the same level of immersion.

If Massive can recapture the magic that made NYC in the winter so immersive to recreate these various parts of the Star Wars universe, I can see this warranting a full playthrough.

That would be a great gag in a comedy game. Have a facial feature of a main character just get bigger and bigger and no one notices.

Will wait on the sub $39 sale UbiSoft games get; or maybe even wait for Black Friday. This is a prime candidate as a $20-$30 game by then.
Not bacause this even looks great. But because im a Star wars sucker.

If it's anything like most recent Ubisoft games, it will have solid controls and UI and everything else will be horrible.

yep, this's just what i'm hoping for, as well. played division solo, & it's one of my top half-dozen games of last gen (& i agree, division 2 was a disappointment)...
