Is there another one? Really curious how this one runs.

Which is weird cause why the secrecy ? The game releases in 2 days
More handheld footage
Well, it actual is close. Sure, it lacks the cpu power, but most games are more gpu bound. We already have seen that cyberpunk has better textures, better iq, better reflections as series s. Which is also a big deal. The same about apex legend having a better iq as series s. Sf6, aside from the texture bug, even with the fix, it still looks better on switch 2.
In other words, games can look better on switch 2. Framerate wise and npc's will stick above switch 2 on series s.
Thats why i put it in between ps4 pro and series s for cpu games.
It's not close to Series S whatever you spin. You can't throw all the heavy stuff to the GPU and call a day.
IDK whats going on with Nintendo fanboys to be honest. Why even bother with a shit game like Star Wars Outlaw to begin with. Nintendo Switch 2 have a shit CPU. Nintendo will do wonders with the console I have no doubt, but in the real world that ARM cpu is trash.
What will happen is we gonna get a lot of third party games running poorly because of the CPU, and people here gonna live in the past forever using Cyberpunk and SF6 as some sort of counter prove argument.
CPU bound at 30 fps, if it's 60 even if CPU bound it's gonna run at least at 30 on Switch 2, and that doesn't require any graphics configs degradationIt's quite well defined and even supported by devs that the 3TF + DLSS is quite similar GPU wise to a Series S, with even likely better image quality even when its at lower resolution.
CPU wise, if a game is CPU bound on series S, it's unlikely to be compatible with Switch 2, it is a weaker CPU. Calling it trash is a mental shortcut, its a damn fine mobile hardware CPU. Having better than PS4 pro CPU in 20W total power envelope is what anyone understanding tech would say is normal.
But how many CPU bound games are there really? There's some, but more often than not it's fine, a 60 fps series S will translate to a 30 fps Switch 2.
I think everyone sensible understands this. The battle of trying to make it seem like its base PS4 is the annoying part in all this discussion. It's a dead end argument that some peoples wouldn't understand even if it slapped them on the face.

Yeah, that's what I mean.If Series S has a CPU bound game 30 fps I don't think its happening on switch 2.
It would require a lot of optimization that... in the end, if the dev puts in the effort, would eventually also benefit the other consoles. Or they cut down the game until it runs like some Switch 1 ports, but that's not really what I think peoples expect now with Switch 2.
Mesh shaders does help best the lower tier hardware by saving precious CPU cycles and bandwidth. The slower the hardware the more frametime benefits you gain, as Alan wake 2 dev detailed at GDC for Series S. There's a lot of GDC talks about how mesh shaders will benefit handhelds the most. But I don't think its a saviour of a 30 fps CPU bound scenario, just that "impossible ports" will more than likely use mesh shaders.
Yea, it's very weird how Ubisoft is just releasing this so low under the radar. Not even so much as a launch trailer. The main issue I have with this port is that we haven't seen an official gameplay footage and the game is releasing in 2 days
Hey, I noticed a lot of negativity about the Switch 2 here. I get it, it's not perfect.its funny, cause I love seeing the damage control nintendo fans desperately rushing to these threads to try and save face
Jesus you must be fun at a party! Relax man we get you can't afford a switch 2It's not close to Series S whatever you spin. You can't throw all the heavy stuff to the GPU and call a day.

It is physically impossible for a Switch type system to be as powerful as a PS5 currently, and the market has clearly indicated that they want systems like Switch from Nintendo, not powerful consoles like N64 or Gamecube. There's no point arguing with you, we have far different opinions on this to reach a consensus.
But i ll answer you that i dont care about handheld, for the value of U$450 i would expect a hardware powerful as a PS5, a traditional Nintendo home console, the power to play any multiplat at "high" fidelity/frames and Nintendo exclusives would be the perfect scenario for me and for most over here, it would be the console to break Sony and MS imo.
They won't drop support for the most popular console in yearsSwitch 2 users praying that the footage is always the early build before 3rd party just drops support again.
I'm a huge Nintendo advocate, and sometimes I even see things through rose-tinted glasses, but I wouldn't even think of defending third-party games.[...] IDK whats going on with Nintendo fanboys to be honest. While a lot of this is true from a technical level many games on screenshots simply look sharper on the Switch compared to the PS4. In terms of framerates I totally agree with you. But the Switch DLSS if implemented can produce some pretty decent results in terms of visual fidelity etc.it never shows to be closer to Series S than PS4, it's literally the other way around in every game ever tested.
Street Fighter 6: ⅓ resolution of Series S, 30fps story mode fights (just like on PS4) vs 60fps on Series S.
Cyberpunk: ½ framerate at similar resolution than Series S, some settings below PS4 (shadows for example), some higher than PS4... all below Series S. the only similarity to Series S here is that it got the DLC. otherwise it's putting out less than 50% the perfomance both in framerate and/or settings.
Fortnite: 1080p 60fps with no Lumen GI and no Nanite, vs Series S with Lumen GI and Nanite + a 120fps option. ergo, very similar to PS4, no similarity with Series S.
Hogwarts Legacy: based on the PS4 version with slight improvements. completely different assets to Series S... again not comparable to Series S in any way.
Apex Legends: 1080p 60fps, which is closer to the unstable 1080p 60fps PS4 version than the Series S version that offers a 120fps mode and uses higher settings.
not a single game tested is closer to Series S than PS4.
the Switch 2 version is consistently either showing last gen settings like in Hogwarts and Fortnite, or showing half the perfomance of the Series S... sometimes both like in Fortnite, where it depends on which mode you use on Series S.
Half the performance of a Series S is the equivalent of a system slightly faster than a PS4. and that's exactly where the Switch 2 lands... it's slightly faster than a PS4, and has modern GPU features to punch above its weight in some aspect (but not others).
1fps, terribleIt seems a user on Famiboard managed to get the game early and captured a few shots.

EPSTEIN FILESOUTLAWS SWITCH 2 FOOTAGE
My question is...why port this game?
Why not Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor...or hell even Battlefront 2(2017)
The port choices for Switch are odd at times.
Oh didn't know that. Assumed only one publisher had the Star Wars license...? This is Ubisoft, not EA

Yeah I edited itcrud
/Awaits all the "concerned" non-Switch owners to rush in and share their relief.Looks pretty good
No but the initial report isn't the classic clickbait youtube video channel, so I am surprised they'd put out a video criticizing the port, and then we see several footages of the final build showing it's all right./Awaits all the "concerned" non-Switch owners to rush in and share their relief.
Not terrible in screenshots. Some handheld screenshots

That would be cool if a portable console was made that can interface with the other electronic products in the vicinity to draw power.OUtlaws performs better in the car on Switch 2.

Given the hardware, this looks gorgeous on the Switch 2 not gonna lie
FTFY.1f, terrible
Holy crap, way better image quality than I expected when they announced the port. FPS remains to be seen but this is impressive by its own.
DLSS + RTGI on 9W handheld, I think most peoples never thought it would be possible
