I did a search on the boards and didn't see a thread about this. If old, I apologize...

Anyway, has anyone heard anything about when all six episodes will be released in a set on DVD? I checked Google, and the closest I found to info was a rumor posted back in June by "ComingSoon.net" which said they'd be out November 1st. Obviously, that wasn't true.

Lucasfilm hasn't said one way or the other, than I've heard.

The popular rumor is that they'll do a complete box set in 2007 for the series 20th anniversary, but as far as I know Lucas hasn't said anything to that effect. That would make sense, and would be a long enough period of time to Lucas to get our money twice.

It's the 30th anniversary.

The current plan is a theatrical release between January and May (like the 1997 SEs) of the six movies and the box set for the holiday season.
