Star Wars: The Force Awakens Final Trailer

I had this pet theory first time I saw her with it that it was some form of pike akin to those things, its crafted, not found and is clearly a weapon of some sorts.

Ren, Rey, Knights of Ren

I hold onto my theories.

I thought Rey looked very similar to a Tusken Raider in the opening of the trailer, and then thought that her staff was something like a gaffi stick they used.

I'm so fucking hype, but I'm sceptical, because
c'mon, "finish what you started"? That so looks like that son/dad shit. I don't know if I would like that, I mean, Luke is ma boy. And no sign of him in the trailers

But maybe that's what they want: make everyone think he's bad then BOOM! He's the new Yoda or something

This is my favourite shot, major trench run vibes

Neither. This film is Rey's story. She's the lead.

I've seen rumors and supposed leaks supporting Rey being the main character and force sensitive, as well rumors and supposed leaks of Finn being force sensitive. But nothing overtly definitive. Any sources?

I've really come around on the claymore lightsaber, that thing really sounds and looks like it has real weight to it, it's good a Sith weapon.

Whatever the Ewoks celebrated at the end of the battle of Endor in ROTJ, I'm sure they're meaningless now.

Make those decommissioned x-wings fly again!

I've tears rolling down my cheeks. This is utterly beautiful.

Holy shit that looks good!

I can't wait to take my son to see it.

Is this the first movie I actually buy on blu ray?

Heh. Jesus. It quite literally never went away.

Sorry but Star Wars as I knew it ended after RoTJ. The feel, the mood, the atmosphere, the characters. It all ended for me. Surviving perhaps only in spirit in books and animation.

That Star Wars is back. And I shall remain emotional about it. If you can't identify I'll chock it up to age.

Its possible, its eerily similar to Mauls lightsaber hilts though if you inspect a high def image, the ends are very crafted.

Are people seriously hating on the term Sith now just because Lucas used it in the prequels?

The less prequel terminology used the better. Definitely. Don't wanna hear about no sith, no padawans, no midichlorians, or any other such idiocy.

IT FEELS LIKE STAR WARS. The camera looks like Star Wars. The fights, the tone.

I kid you not, the thing that got me most excited was the sound of the falcon going into hyperdrive. That rust bucket finally does what is needs to do... make me tear up!

I think Rey is Luke's daughter. They somehow got her away from him because he became obsessed with the force. So... Why is it nobody raises their kids in Star Wars????

I'd like it if Finn wasn't Force sensitive but stuck with the lightsaber as his main weapon anyways. He'll suck with it in Ep. 7, and then be good with it after training and have a great fight in Ep. 9.

it worked for me in all of his movies. Maybe it's your opinion
It worked for me at first as well, but the more I was watching his stuff, the more it was wearing thin. I was hoping he'd do some reinvention on his formula for this, but it doesn't seem like it. I'm more annoyed by that than anything though, as I always feel his movies are just on the cusp of greatness, but never quite reach it. I feel he's capable of it, but somehow always miss it.

...We're talking about a movie trailer.
I know, I know... but the shot composition and the way people are framed, and the way they express their emotion, feels way too familiar and similar to his other stuff.

I like how the snow planet has the big mountains, the forest, and the Empire base. Seems to have a lot more going on than Star Wars' typical one-biome-only thing

Looks incredible.

I'm guessing Luke will only have a cameo in this one. He'll probably be the one to train Finn (or Rey, I don't know who will be the Jedi, maybe both) in the next couple movies, like Yoda did for him

Pretty sure that's exactly what's going to happen.
