Oh, come on. They have the fighting choreography team from The Raid movies.

I am sure it will be fine.

I know people were suggesting Chewie earlier but if you look carefully the background looks like the snowy woodland area and the person Rey is crying over is Finn (brown leather jacket and you can see his fingers holding his arm as though injured). Most likely the aftermath of his lightsaber fight with Ren, which suggests that he picked it up (or had it already for some reason) and used it to defend himself and Rey - rather than because he is a potential Jedi / Force sensitive person (though I guess he could be) - and the follow-up after this shot is that Rey picks up the lightsaber and takes Ren on (mostly likely to also lose but at least save Finn) until something else happens to allow them to escape.

That would be a bummer

"Dark side" and not "sith" makes sense. It's been 30 years since the sith even existed, which no one really knew about, and 50 years since more than 1-4 people knew that they were in fact present (the council). Beyond that.... The sith ARE a myth.. One that hasn't existed in the galaxy for millennia. As for the Jedi, they too are a myth. Luke, despite going around telling everyone he was a Jedi knight, was never really a knighted Jedi, and there was certainly no order. So you have one dude saying he was a Jedi and the people he came in touch with hearing it.

Even WITH a capable system of chronicling information and history, there's no reason still to believe that the sith are anything more than myth, and no reason to believe the Jedi aren't long past history (50+ years at this point)

I'm not overly concerned about spoilers and dropped quickly on swleaks reddit, hoping to see something minor and nothing movie-spoiling. Kinda depressing to see those 'speculations' that crop up there also appear here as 'speculations'. Screw it, I'm going blackout after today.

Well, not.
Rey is wet, and also dressed in things that are absolutely NOT appropriate for the Snow Planet, this scene takes place after the Temple Fight on the Forest Planet, probably inside the ruins, and the lighting is due to sun coming in through a door, or opening. This is where Rey pulled the wounded Chewbacca during the fighting, this is how he dies. Look at the lower right. The bandolier and the fur is unmistakable.

I agree with this theory. I'm thinking its an Abrams swerve to show Finn holding the saber.

Also, everyone at work things Luke is Ren. That's the Abrams swerve for casuals who don't pay attention to casting and stuff.

Also, don't reply to this post with spoilers. I'm not reading them. I'm going in blind.

They absolutely need to KILL that script. The dialogue and character interaction has to be on-point for any of the big set piece action scenes to pay off.

I really don't want another Star Trek here.

Don't fuck this up Abrams. Restrain yourself.

Well it can't be any worse than the iffy dialogue and mostly wooden acting from Episode 1,2 or 3.

So are there spoilers suggesting that he might have some kind of altered face in the final movie? Because I don't think I can take that whiny looking kid seriously as the villain, lol.

Adam Driver is terrific. Not sure why you think he looks whiney. Kylo Ren is essentially a Sith fanboy. He's not supposed to be on the level of Vader. At least, not at this point in the trilogy.

Unlikely because
Han and Leia hugging scene is obviously after the events at the destroyed temple, as Han is actually at the site of the temple attack when the X-Wings arrive - so he's alive after that. HOWEVER, Chewie is not present at any scene following their arrival at the Forest Planet. Finally, the bandolier on the body Rey is weeping over is unmissable.

The plot I posted is true.

Just the beginning of that sentence is a spoiler

That's Finn.

That makes more sense that it's Finn. She obviously meets Finn on Jakku early on and would bond over the course of the film. I don't think she'd be as emotional over Chewie or have the chance to connect at that level with him. And he faces Ren. That can't end well.

It's Chewie holding someone, IMO.

If that's true then it would have been
Chewie holding up dead Han in his arms in Frost Planet, after the fight with Kylo. Chewbacca would have no attachment to Finn to carry him around like that. Han also wears a leather jacket in this movie.
Which makes no sense because
Han, Chewie, Finn and Rey on the ground - then who's flying the Falcon?

Well, not.

Could be, but I'm pretty certain that's the snowy woodland in the background and not an indoor area. Also that really looks like a brown leather jacket to me; the bandolier... could be a belt / holster on thigh. The wetness (...hmm) could be just pouring with sweat and from the earlier fight during the day on that planet, which clearly she was involved in and looks like it could be a rainy planet (read: England, lol).

Alternative suggestion; that could actually be from a little after what I described, with Finn on the ground injured, Rey having found him (and maybe defended him) and the thing that looks like it may be a bandolier is indeed Chewie coming into shot, as he has come to the rescue after the battle with Ren. Maybe Han is there too; or maybe not; someone needs to take care of Ren...

Yeah, people who took it upon themselves to spoil the movie for themselves ruining the thread for everyone else. Just go to the spoiler thread, people.

It would be typical Hollywood -
kill off the black guy

I kid of course, I don't know if Boyega is signed up for multiple of these

Why are you making stuff up in this thread and acting like you know the plot?

And on the right is Chewies shoulder. He's holding someone. Is it Finn? Maybe.

I think Finn will be hurt pretty badly, Rey comes up and tries to protect him, they both almost die, but Chewie comes with some shop and rescues them. Han is, as I presume, dead.

Edit: After thinking more about it, I think that's Chewie carrying Finn, it looks like it's Chewies head to the right. and all of them are standing.
