These guys deserve their own video game spinoff.

Kylo is Dan to Luke's Ryu. ESB Luke could take him easily.

I'd say check out the "Clone Wars" micro series, at worst you'll only lose two hours of your time. At best. You'll become one of us. lol. They're just shorts about the battles of the war. Sadly they are no longer canon but it's still a damn masterpiece.

Here, you can watch it all on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVk9lPotcW4

If you feel it clicked with you. You can also try "THE CLONE WARS" this one is 100% canon (forever and ever according to disney), and each episode was pretty much laid out by George himself, this series was his pet project for years. And as a we mentioned, features THE female jedi.

This one is a full 110+ episode series, with some highs and lows (very low lows and extremely high highs), you can use this guide to focus only on the legendary stuff. Or just watch it all and enjoy some fillery comedic episodes every once in a while.

There it is my young padawan.

Better quality video, if anyone is interested.

The music in the trailer is so awesome. Especially right after the new bad guy does that thing to the screaming man. That's the theme that plays whenever something whimsical, adventurous, and bitter sweet happens. (For example, I think it plays at the end of Empire Strikes Back)

Enjoyed this a great deal. Usually reaction videos are of people just freaking out, but the way it slowly sinks in on him was wonderful. You could see him being taken back to his childhood as it went along.

Precisely! Not a word throughout the entire trailer. Not. One. Word. His eyes tell the whole story. So good.

I have been watching reaction vids all night and I didn't cry until I saw this one.

really, this is the first time since 1983 that Star Wars has been anything like 'Star Wars.' This trailer makes me feel the way George had hoped the PT would have made me feel. But everything was so futuristic and clean...it didn't work at all. Visually, they knocked it out of the park. The new bad guys look so menacing. I can't wait to find out what their goal is... why are there remnants of Imperial forces? What did Darth Vader begin, and why does she want to finish it? my god... so hyped for this.

EDIT: Whoops, Double post! Sorry guys.

I'm 100% positive they will do that expository crawl at the beginning of the movie but I kinda wish they wouldn't. Just let the story be told organically, you know? Never cared for it, but I know why you gotta keep it in.

Man Grievous was so great in that series. Too bad he turned into a self-important idiot in RotS.

IIRC they were given some early designs and got told "He's the baddest droid in town" then after finally watching ROTS they found out he was more of a mustache twirling egotistical villain. So they had to emergency nerf him at the end of S2 before the ep 3 premiered

I've watched all the movies and for what it's worth, enjoyed them. I only got a chance to see Ep 1 - 3 in theaters, but remember watching ep 4 - 6 on VHS. You are so right that this trailer feels like Star Wars and I don't know what it is, but this one seems like a more 'serious' one for lack of a better term? So much emotion came out of that trailer.

No cartoon rabbit doing bumbling slapstick shit.

That helps a ton.

So is anyone else bothered by the idea that this movie's gonna premiere in December instead of being a Summer release?

They're getting back on track for Episode VIII. This was originally scheduled for summer as well actually but J. J. demanded that it be pushed back, and I'm sure Harrison's injury didn't help.

I believe that's a remix of Leia's theme.

Truly powerful to revisit a theme from the "core" of the OT that has had no revival until now. That's THE moment of the trailer, no doubt.

Yup. Some people just understand the power of John Williams.

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws

John is the secret sauce to classic films. (Or more accurately good Spielburg films)

And superman, harry potter, catch me if you can, schindler's list. List goes on and on.

Going back and watching the Comicon reel helps string a few more pieces together. And it's cool to see some behind the scenes stuff.

Yeah I watched this back in the day, and again around the time the cast of Episode VII was announced. Very fascinating in light of all we know unfolded since then.

And I feel like Kevin Smith has aged a TON since 2005 (also he sounds different), but JJ is almost the same as he was back then!
