It may be coming in the future, and i am expecting a preachy, watered down 'message' show like the young indiana jones.

but if you were a guest writer on the show and Ricky-boy was out of the office for a week, so you had free reign to write your script, what would it be about?

the only guide you had was its set post ep 6...

i guess someone had to...
the teasing of caravan of courage is still fresh in the collective Zeitgeist, unfullfilled promises of extacy...

Star Trek allowed fans and anyone to submit scripts for TNG, DS9 and Voyager, no clue how often, if ever they were actually used. Far as I know those are the only shows to ever allow scripts to be submitted from anyone.

Depends on WHERE in the Star Wars mythology this is...

there's a ton of kick ass possibilities you could do.

I myself would hire Mark Hamill and cover the events AFTER ROTJ. I'm sure he could use the paycheck and it would be nice to see what happened after the fall of the Empire.

Any one with a knowledge of history knows as soon as one empire falls another comes up to replace it.

Have him start up a Jedi academy.. struggle with his own dark side. Maybe even convince Harrison Ford to do a guest shot as Han and follow up with his character. Is he still a scruffy nerf herder or has he gone the straight and narrow. Just so many possibilities.

There's about a million and one things you can do. As long as the budget and the right writers are behind it

Here's a story from Wired about writing for Star Trek.

Star Wars Episodes:

An episode about Imperial holdouts -- paralelled with the whole "South will rise again" thing.
An episode about the next owner of the Millenium Falcon.
Anything about bounty hunters.
A story about a rogue jedi -- perhaps a half trained on that walks the line between dark and light.
An all droid episode, where you follow the exploits of one droid over his lifetime.

I could go on forever.

i heard two separate rumours, one was that it would se t set after ep6 and the other was that it would follow Boba Fett inbetween 3 and 4.

and you said, Outcast the possibilites are fantastic, but so was the potential with an indiana jones tv series, and the principals are the same in this case too.

i too would like to see a post ep6 series, but a very structured one.
to stay in canon, the series would be approx 21 eps long and would be divided up into 3 acts of 7 eps. that format would allow for a couple of exposition eps and we could have at least 2 'action' eps...

the formation of another empire would be great plotdevice...

:)

well, the marketing people say that its still wise to go for 'the Star Wars dollar', so until that changes and peoples tastes change, SW will still be sold, in whatever shape or form it can be transposed into.
