Fortunately it's been in development alongside the Xbox 360 version since Day 1, so we just need to integrate with the Steam platform and add native support for keyboard and mouse control.
Well betting against Jeff Strain is usually a bad idea.
First he was a notable senior staffer on many of Blizzard's hits during their prime. Then he founded ArenaNet and launched two highly successful MMOs.
Coming out on top with the third go around only made sense!![]()
Tried the demo and thought it was pretty bland. Does it get any better or different after the demo area?
What's the story behind the exclusivity here?
Yeah, you're not really seeing the game's potential after the starting area, which is just meant as a tutorial.
The demo gives you 30 minutes of free time in the open world AFTER you leave the tutorial area, which gives you a much better idea.
Personally, I love the game. It will easily be in the top 5 of the year for me. I wouldn't personally bother waiting for the Steam version if you have access to a 360, it's that good.
If this ever ends up with co-op I think I'd wind up buying multiple copies.
Honestly I hope they don't make the MMO. I think they can iterate really nicely in the space they're in right now, and unchecked ambition to make an MMO has wrecked a lot of companies before.

I'm all over the PC version. The potential of mods and unofficial patches to fix the jankyness is just too hard to pass up.
