Why have we got to the point of not expecting anything? Is there a stronger show 100% nailed on for later in the year? I thought September was the rumour for a big showcase?

Preparing to be massively underwhelmed as I have been for the past few years with Sony stuff. PS5 is gathering dust at the moment.

I'm not the target demographic, but the only way I could leave the video excited is if:
They show me ambition.
Show me a game in an entirely new genre (or a fusion of genres) with high production standards that makes me want to immediately do research on how they even came up with their ideas.
Said game should also be releasing on as many platforms as the game is capable of running on as possible (PC at minimum as that's where I play most of the time).
It should also be priced reasonably for the market and its offerings, and should have minimal interrupting features like sign-in requirements that offer me no value, or regional restrictions.
That obviously won't happen (I can't say I expect any gaming show from any company around to deliver that either), so I will set my expectations for slightly-too-long trailers of really good-looking games I have essentially played before

Sony is so out of touch with reality if they really think people want a Horizon or Days Gone remaster for their newest 900€ Pro console.

Concord is not the biggest bomb of the generation, but of all time.So just because it's not available anymore it somehow doesn't make it news anymore?
It's still the greatest bomb of the generation and it will be remembered as such regardless how much some of you want to sweep it under the rug as "no big deal"

? I don't think anyone expects these Remasters to be the face of the PS5 Pro. Next year there are heavy hitters like Death Stranding 2 and GTA6 that will surely take advantage of the new Hardware. (And more will be announced.)
About setting the bar... The two games with the highest chances of winning the Goty this year, Rebirth and Astrobot, are PS5 exclusives (for now). And even though Concord was a failure, Sony has also released one of the best selling GaaS games of the year Helldivers 2.

It doesn't need to have anything to do with the Pro - a HZD remaster and a Days Gone remaster is so incredibly tone deaf, unnecessary and plain stupid only the most utterly delusional corporate suit could greenlight them thinking they are going to please their now 2nd class consumers.

I don't expect much from a SoP, but when you have a system coming out that is $700 in this economy, you'd think you'd want to give people a reason to spend.
Arrogant Sony is the worst. I guess they figure it'll somehow be an automatic success because they're PlayStation.
PSVR2 flopped due to lack of support or appeal and it costing as much as the system itself.
Here you've got to show *why* people should consider $700 over a base system you can get for $200-$300 less. They dont seem to care to do that.
They know that, they simply don't have nothing to show. The GAAS strategy probably affected every studio from Sony
