gave away the keys to the kingdom.
No artbook for a game worked on by Olly Moss makes me sad. That and it's got a really cool aesthetic that I'd love to see some of the concept stuff.

I asked about the possibility of one being released later on as DLC:

Unlikely. The behind-the-scenes art for this game was communicative and functional. It's not book-worthy. However there will probably be more arty merch down the line!

We do what we do not because it is globally popular, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

c'mon, I know what DRM free games are
I got none with this bundle.

Well, you'd have to redeem the uPlay Rayman Origins key, download via uPlay, and then try launching it using the .exe directly without uPlay running to confirm, wouldn't you?

This Humble UPlay Bundle is another proof that price is not issue in video games :D I mean people don't want to buy amazing game (Rayman Origins is amazing) for 1$ just because it is UPlay key.

Origins was amazing... but it's been dirt cheap for a Steam copy in the past, so I'm not sure judging interest in a uPlay only key is a good way to go.

imagine if league had tomb raider hair tech for tails

also firewatch at 20 is a nice price, would be double nice if it was on nuuvem

if it's on nuuvem and obtainable for me, i'd probably give it a go just because it's cheap...

Duelyst looks fucking awesome, I just wish it had a bigger single player component.

Their artwork/animations were really cool, but I lost interest when it went F2P after I got CounterPlay to refund my Kickstarter pledge.

but, why?
cos we all need more fluffytech in our lives

Yeap LoL ruined your life forever. I would say that arachnophobia is least of your problems :D
well u know, general insecurity, neurosis, many different phobias, league addict, i try to keep my interests broad

anxiety is a full-time commitment for sure

It would as ridiculous a technology as the brick wall in perfect dark zero.
what's that!

Duelyst looks fucking awesome, I just wish it had a bigger single player component.
yeah, i do too

and it does

a friend told me about it so i'm prolly gonna start playing it soon. not a big fan of the character designs but i love the colors and general look of the thing

For you.
has anyone had any issues with cdkeys (store)?

They are generally the most trustworthy unathorised store and have good customer support. However, they have a shitty verification system that you can trigger randomly or after doing a few purchases there and it's a pain in the ass. And while their keys are for the vast majority working, they did have issues with revokes like in Elder Scrolls Online case.

Jshackles did because of something with their text verification system, I think?
Lots of people around here shun them because they're grey market resellers, I believe.

It's hard to say no to Street Fighter 5 and Dragon's dogma for $50 flat.

I'll probably end up buying a boat load of DLC for Street Fighter 5, my conscience is clear.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Frost is right. They have an "automated security" system in place where you have to provide them a phone number so their system can call you to send you a code to verify that... you're alive... I guess(?).

The problem for me was that they don't mention this anywhere in the purchase process and don't tell you until after they've taken your money. In my particular instance my phone number "wasn't eligible" to be used with their verification service, so I had to contact their support and wait almost a week to have my purchase refunded. It was a terrible experience, and one that I wouldn't wish anyone else to have to go through.

Out of curiosity, was it a Google Voice (or similar) number, or are you with an MVNO, maybe one of Sprint's?

I have two different phone services: my home phone is running through an Ooma Core that I purchased and have been using since 2008 ($0/month) and a cell phone that's using a Spring MVNO (Freedompop, also $0/month) and neither worked. I literally don't have access to any other voice services.

I wasn't entirely shocked that my phone numbers "weren't eligible" to be used with their system, but was absolutely appalled that this step of the checkout process was done after money changed hands.

Ubi Humble is pretty sweet, as most I already have all of them except Rogue.

Also about The Witness
That moment when you first manage to solve one of those "secret" world puzzles and hearing that explosion at the end, pretty awesome feeling to stumble upon it.

To put some context, this brick wall represents the pinnacle of visual technology employed by this game. In 2005 was a real oddity in a game that just looked average.

yeah, the parallax mapping in Perfect Dark Zero is still somewhat impressive a decade later.

The rest of the game, not so much. I loaded a MP match the day i got Rare Replay and i couldn't believe i spent any time with that thing lol

Perfect Dark Zero had wall guy and this brick wall.

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Can confirm that modbot giveaways work in this thread.

Can also confirm that the key is content for a game I haven't activated on my account.

Let's see who manages to activate it. :D

I tried. It is an expansion pack to something...

Wrapped up Tomb Raider. I don't want to reiterate what I posted in-depth previously, so I'll do a quick rundown.

+ serviceable visuals
+ passable shooting mechanics
+ OK story
+ light RPG elements (character leveling, weapon upgrades) encourage exploration
+ good kb/m controls
+ very little "torture porn", maybe a handful in my whole play-through

- awful VO
- bland characters, most of all Lara herself
- uninteresting motives
- world feels uninteresting, thus audio-logs are uninteresting
- exploration of hub areas is not satisfying
- pitifully shallow and few tombs
- puzzles are way too unimaginative, easy and short
- way too often loss of player control for the littlest "cutscenes"
- bad facial animation hurts especially since there is some focus on "emotions" of characters
- same bad animations repeated when looting special loot
- combat is the blandest of bland cover-based shooting with no challenge and thus satisfaction
- player movement feels off and inconsistent in reach (magnetic pull to ledges etc.)
- all to similar color palette and levels
- irritating camera shakiness cannot be disabled
- too many copy-pasted boring sliding sections

I had an impressive good streak with great games I played recently. Did not expect TR13 to put a stop to it but it's a dud. Forgettable and bland is what I will remember of my time with it. Wasted time maybe, too.
I'm not inherently against rebooting an old franchise and shacking up formula, that's why I'm fine with new focus on more combat, set-pieces and less tombs but only if the new formula is better or at least fun. This is not the case, so I'm not appreciative of this reboot.
Expectations for RotTR went down very quick but I doubt it will be as much a trudge as this. Very heartily not gonna recommend TR13. Save your money and time for something else. Have the feeling to add that I raided all tombs and generally looted most books etc.

Hope I don't have to remind that this is all subjective and you might have a totally different experience and lot of fun with it. Shows one more time how not to completely trust others opinions, even if they are the vast majority. TR13 has a current "overwhelmingly positive" user rating on Steam.
