My fellow Steam-GAF members, what's the best game I can score right now for 2.99 or less? Minus Super Hexagon as I already own that one!

Tried playing that game earlier today, fucking impossible. My eyes gave out after 10 seconds.

I put 20 hours into Space Giraffe damn it!

Edit: New game ready(Batman, BF4) Nvidia beta drivers What's the best way to clear my last drivers? Just want to hear what other people do. Kind of annoying though as I just finished redoing all of my custom resolutions.

I sucked six dicks to get this tag.
Blops 2 looks significantly better on the PC in spots, I imagine Ghosts will do the same. Don't see why you would get it on consoles though. A lot of work was put into the PC version of Blops 2 and even more seems to be going into Ghosts. Hell, Blops 2 on PC added lean back!

While it looked better, Blops 2 still looks like ass in general, so it really didn't matter that Blops 2 looked slightly better than consoles(unless I was really desperate for full 1080p). Also lean in Blops 2 was ass. On top of that player population on PC CODS not named COD4 is so small after like the first month compared to consoles. Also no real advantage to playing COD on pc since dedicated servers for all consoles on ghosts tbh.

Lastly, all my peeps are on console.

Now BF3/4 are the games I've absoultely needed to play on PC, but the PS4 version can change that if the console aiming is less stiffer.

Do you have an anal fixation? In any case, I thought it looked quite good in spots and the lean was quite useful. Haven't played much multiplayer so I can't speak for populations but I find it hard to believe games aren't readily available. Suppose I just don't understand why you wouldn't want the superior performance. They've even said the PC version of Ghosts will have the best textures and I don't see any reason to disbelieve them.

Now if you have friends on other systems that's easily understood.

I must say, I do dig a nice round booty :p. But seriously if COD ghosts is waaaay better looking on PC than consoles then I'll be sure to check it out but I've learned from past COD releases that it's mostly just small or slight improvements over consoles.

I've only got 1 achievement left in Super Hexagon, that damn Hexagon achievement for beating Hyper Hexagonest. I can only play the game on certain days, as it's a toss-up if I'm either in the zone, or completely out of the zone and have no chance...

Heh. And I suppose that's fair enough, I just like to get the best versions of games wherever possible. Blops 2 was no Battlefield or Crysis but it was a pretty major step up from the console versions to me. Although of course that speaks poorly for them I suppose but oh well.

Will have to give it another go in a few minutes. I was definitely not in the zone :D

Edit: Damn, didn't notice earlier as it was plugged in but it seems updating from 8.1 preview to RTM screwed up my ximput drivers.

Man I have serious neck surgery in the morning and was hoping to kick my Arkham Origins preload off but GMG hasn't sent keys yet :(

I prefer consoles simply because the playerbase is SO much higher. 10-20x. All playlists are playable all the time. Even the shit ones

Aaand that's a wrap for Dead Rising 2. Can't say the game will be missed. Never been a fan of the timed gameplay and the game is a sequel... in name only.
Seriously, so same timer (ok that's the serie's trademark), same awful hand to hand combat, some boss very very close to those in the first one, and even parts of the environnement that looks like copy pasta (the renovated part of the mall).
What the flying fuck is that ? Could'nt Bluecastle at least try ?!
Not abyssmal, just not good enough. On every level.

Finished it off and got some new achievements to show off on the profile.

The only ones I set out to do initially were the Brass Balls and Against All Odds achievements, the other ones I unlocked naturally through exploration.

beautiful pics! Gotta love Rapture - as much as I enjoyed Columbia in Infinite, Rapture's still my favorite.

Must be my irrational love for Art Deco.

I actually enjoyed the atmosphere and art style significantly more than that of Infinite.

Have been needing to do a Foxiest of Hounds and Pacifist run on Deus Ex: HR. Only problem is I never bought The Missing Link DLC, so I don't have the cheap upgrade path available.

Need to fill out the Achievement Showcase, my Rare Showcase is now ruined by Bioshock 2

Found this buried on the Registry

Don't know anything about this game so I thought I would just post it here. They tried to remove this picture.

It's coming? Horray, been waiting for it since their Kickstarter

I am back from China!! It's been eight days since I last logged into my steam account. Better open it and wipe off some dust ^^

To my surprise I got yet another booster pack, this is the sixth pack I get now

Grim Dawn's been sitting in the registry for quite a while now. I mentioned earlier in the year that there's an Early Access sub and so the game may go up on Steam when it reaches beta.

Is that the ARPG from Titan Quest devs?

The very same.

Yeah, I feel like the game is really under-rated/overlooked. The only part of that game I hated was toward the end and it involves some Valve-ish inspirations. Check out Darksiders 2 when you get a chance as well. It's not quite as solid as the first (imo), but it's still beautiful and a lot of fun. Plus the soundtrack is incredible as well.

Everyone loved Darksiders and it got mentioned all the time as an example of a great Zelda/God of War-mix. I would hardly call it underrated or overlooked.

...then Darksiders 2 came out and ruined it for everyobdy.

Looks good for a 10 year old engine. Unreal 2.5 still being used in 2013 lol. Blacklist used it too. Neither game looked that bad. Mostly due to lighting and art style though

Its funny because both games have some pretty brutal mouse acceleration which was added in intentionally by the developers.

I don't believe that it exists natively on the engine.

Completed all of the campaign content in Arkham City, there's some Riddler challenge's left to find but, as with the combat challenges, I don't think I'll bother. There's a few sidequests left as well, I think I'll leave AC installed to complete those. Overall I really enjoyed Arkham City but the post-game bits with Catwoman were kind of anti-climatic and Harley's Revenge felt completely unnecessary. The final encounter with Harley as Robin was exactly the same as the one with Catwoman against Two Face, only Harley's guards don't respawn. I did like being able to play as characters other than Batman, I just wish the parts where you got to play as Catwoman and Robin were a bit better.

Also I don't know if it's nostalgia speaking but I recall enjoying the world design in Asylum a lot more than I did City, so I'm re-installing Asylum to see if that holds true. Gonna try adn hammer through AA before Origins comes out.

Rude awakening awaits. Let it be. Remember how good it was and let that be enough. All it will do is make you realise how good Arkham Cities comBAT is.

I'm a fan of the change of direction the sequel brought, but there's no denying it was significantly hampered by being a classic case of a developer biting off more than it could chew -- the game is simply too big for its own good and desperately needed another six months in the oven, which, given THQ's state at the time, wasn't really an option.

Actually forgot to add the second part to the post, what's the actual purpose of having it in a game? It just makes everything feel terrible, really don't get it.

A mate recently played through Asylum and watching him run through the game instilled in me a desire to do the same, but I really ought to finish Torchlight 2 first. And the Grim Dawn alpha. And FEAR: Extraction Point. And... see, this is why I don't play games.
