You can sort by Rank, Date Added, Name and Price fellow GAFfer. Check the top left corner.

Yes I know, thanks fellow GAFer :). I have all my ranked list in alphabetical order too so thought Steam had added it in alphabetically but I was in the name category and hadn't realised :/. Oh well, first world problems having to move them up the list eh? :)

Just got my Nvidia codes. I thought they were going to be redeemable on steam :/
Oh well. I have 3 game clients on my pc now.

so guys, a few hours back I got an invite to join the Steam In-Home Streaming group. I read this will be available for beta testing later this year, but I never heard of it before, so what's this about? streaming only to other pcs?

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Yeah, sure. But I just finished the first episode (currently a total of 4 episodes in the game, it seems) and wow, color me surprised, but it was highly entertaining. Fun battle mechanics and progression, Looks great too. There's even an option to display Playstation buttons, for anyone using one of those.

So never mind that trailer, you should get Saturday Morning RPG. Highlight of the day, can't wait to see what else the game comes up with.

Oh don't worry, I plan on getting it soon, just the trailer being terrible :p

With that said does the episodic nature affect the narrative and gameplay?

The deaths really come quickly and unexpected. I guess I have to min/max her Highness' moods better.

Save. Save often.
And yeah, you have to minmax moods and outfits.

Something else: I've died in like, 7 different ways now, but I still haven't gotten the "you've died once" achievement. Is this borked for everyone?Okay, quit the game and restarted it, got the death chievo.

Yeah that achievement is broken for me too. Got others just fine though.

Probably some pervert
You take that back, or I will challenge you to a duel!
Also, pretty funny that the game doesn't have a steam overlay, but if you check your log/view your story at the end, your browser will... and you can take screenshots of your browser window =p

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

It's an upcoming feature for the Steam OS but they're making it available to any PC running Steam, basically. So for example if you have a Linux or Mac OSX PC or laptop in addition to a Windows PC, you can "stream" your games to those devices. So your Mac or Linux box can play any Windows game you have available on Steam using your Windows PC's computing/video power.

Kind of confusing but should be great for those of us with multiple PCs and a strong Windows gaming rig.

Well, might be a bit tricky to answer that after one episode. But the first episode ended with a conclusion and still something to be picked up on in the second episode, witch starts off right where the first episode ended. I can imagine that all episodes will have a beginning, middle and end while still having a continuing arc going forward. Take that with a pinch of salt though, it's only a guess based on what I've played so far.

Regarding gameplay, you can chose to play each chapter in whatever order you want. That's probably confusing to do on your first run, and it's more their take on new game plus, since your level and gear will carry over from episode to episode relentlessly. There's a couple of setting for how you want to scale enemies, so you can hopefully always get a challenge.out of it.

Yeah this is going to be interesting. I'm wondering how it's actually going to be set up since as of now if you log into one comp it logs out of every other.

Well, basically finished A Walk in the Dark sans one achievement (which I don't think I'll ever attempt).

The game isn't some crazy hard platformer in the sense of Super Meat Boy and such, but some levels have some tricks to get used to. Every level has special objectives (ie get a shiny object in each level, and then other types have ones like beat a certain time, do the level in one run, etc.) Game has about
110
total levels including the challenge levels, so getting all those may be an issue for some. I appreciated how it acted like SMB did in where if you die it just restarts you at the beginning of the level.

The music wasn't really varied, but I enjoyed how in each area as you progressed through the levels, the music stayed consistent to where it was (it didn't restart the music track each time you entered a level, it only did that if you went back out to the map). Pretty calming tracks, and I really enjoyed the music from the last set of levels along with the challenge levels.

I did run into some performance issues in late game where you have a type of level which involves auto running. It made it near impossible to even tell when to dodge obstacles, so I had to lower the resolution from my standard one to even get past those levels. Other than that I've had no crashes or anything.

Story is pretty much explained through pretty low budget looking cutscenes and is pretty simplistic and doesn't interfere much with the game during actual play, so didn't really care about it.

The only achievement I won't get is completing the game in a unique speed run without dying. I died more than enough times, especially trying to get the later levels down pat. The challenge levels had their own tricks but overall weren't too difficult once you got a handle on how the game controls.

While the standard price is $6.99 and I feel I got my money's worth, some people probably wouldn't feel the same considering the short time it took me. But I recommend checking it out if it's on sale at least, if you're into a platforming game which doesn't get too crazy in the end (though you may disagree if you go for 100% completion :p )

Thank you for sharing your impression of the game, I've been on the fence about this one and this helped convince me.

Just a guess at this point, but I'd say you'll have to install a separate Windows service to enable streaming. So you'll have the service running on the Windows PC then actually log into Steam on the other PC (Linux, OSX, etc) which will look for the service running somewhere on the network, most likely over UDP. Again just a guess, but I suppose the local client would have to dictate whether or not you could stream a particular game (ie, that you're not streaming something that you're not supposed to be playing on your account).

Have they announced if streaming will be possible from any OS other than Windows? My guess is it'll be Windows only at first, since OSX and Linux more or less share the same library of available games.

Streaming to Steam Machines. Namely, streaming games that don't run on Linux or SteamOS to Steam Machines.

This is a bit of a misnomer. Valve assumes you'll purchase a "Steam OS Console" (which will be sold by several vendors beginning next year) and hook it up to your TV to enable streaming your games from the Windows PC to the console.

The console will run Linux and will also natively support any Linux Steam game without the use of streaming.

I see, a Steam machine will be needed in order to make it work. I want to think that means I'm still elegible to enter in the Steam Machine beta, lol

Only F.E.A.R is a welcoming addition in my opinion, Guardians of Middle it's not interesting, I had the full game when I had my PS3. DLC for Origins could be good but I don't have the base game.

TL;DR : Looks like the Humble Bundle is adding Fear, Guardians of Middle Earth, Gotham City Impostors Free to Play: Professional Impostor Kit, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, and some sort of Batman Arkham Origins DLC.

Nice find, too bad they look like dlcs except for FEAR and mortal kombat

Not sure if it's been posted or discovered yet, but I went digging through the HumbleBundle.com site and found this block of code:

Great, now they just need to either reply to my support mail, fix their fucking site so it works in the steam browser or go back to keys.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

And Guardians of Middle Earth (which also includes Smaug's Treasure DLC)

BTW, this code is a bunch of hidden divs that (don't) appear between LOTR War in the North and the We Can Be Heroes video. The code probably went live early, but it's the same formatting they use for when you click on the game itself and can press the "Next" / "Previous" arrows.

Lol, everything in that Batman Arkham Origins DLC description is in the main game already

And it wouldn't make sense to give a Batman AO DLC when it the game wasn't part of the bundle. The argument could be made that it would attract people to buy the man game but... just weird. Unless it's been done before, has it?

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Talking about DR2: You don't have to do the challenges in OTR. You can sandbox kill zombies at your leisure if that's what you want to do.

I'd personally rank them:

Dead Rising
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record
Dead Rising 2: Case West (of course I haven't played this one, but it has Frank so it's already good)
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
Dead Rising 2
Dead Rising 1: Chop 'Till You Drop.

But then again I like covering wars, ya know!?

Thanks for Chrome AsylumX. Also those who are wondering, the remaining 13 keys that I failed to giveaway, I have messaged to Stump to give them away - I'm not sure if he has done it already but if not, they will be on their way.

Very good additions to WB bundle, now I have FEAR to giveaway to gaf then as I bought that when it was discounted - a week ago :p Guardians of Middle-Earth is actually pretty funny but very simple moba. Though it will now receive a lot more players than before, problem is that their servers are so bad that matchmaking is pain in the ass and you get disconnected too often. It's really a shame because while the game mechanics aren't that deep, it's pretty decent fun fighting with LOTR characters like Gandalf, Sauron and Galadriel.

Also worth noting there are additional DLCs for Guardians of Middle Earth available from Raptr just for playing the game.

It's all cosmetic stuff. I assume they'll go quickly once the Humble updates so good luck!

Yay, a Steam copy of F.E.A.R. would be awesome.

Kinda strange they're adding DLC for a game, though. Have they done something like that before?

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.

Pretty good additions, excluding Mortal Kombat Arcade. It's a barebones XBL port to GFWL with terrible netcode.

I kinda hope that the Gotham City Imposters stuff helps to revitalize the game (if they ever fixed their atrocious netcode, too).
