Race? Road Rages? Go online, start a party, do a variety of mission goals? Explore the open city finding things to smash and jump to leap? Time trials? Treat it as a zen title just to drive around listening to everything except Guns and Roses? Turn off the in-game music while listening to something on your own personal MP3 device?
It's not a traditional racing game in execution of layout to be sure, but there is a lot to do and online is still very active. As long as one doesn't need giant barriers blocking paths to provide a specific path each time for races, and they like causing other cars to crash.
