I really, really hope Deus Ex is profitable for SE/Eidos. If any game deserves it this year, it's this. 55k players at once is really encouraging, too!
I really, really hope Deus Ex is successful enough for someone to make a game that is like it but with vampires, sluts, and humor.Glass Rebel said:I really, really hope Deus Ex is profitable for SE/Eidos. If any game deserves it this year, it's this. 55k players at once is really encouraging, too!

Bloodlines 2 would be really great .Caerith said:I really, really hope Deus Ex is successful enough for someone to make a game that is like it but with vampires, sluts, and humor.

Yes, you are wrong. Yes, of course it doesn't feel like Deus Ex.
StoppedInTracks said:But who would make it?
Eidos is busy doing Thief 4 (which, all signs point to, will be great).
BioWare? LOL.
Valve?... Valve could do the franchise justice but Valve has nothing to gain from Bloodlines 2.
Bethesda is the only company left. You wouldn't want Bethesda to touch the Vampire franchise, believe me.
I was shopping yesterday and bought some cereal for 3,89.- ... could have gotten the cheaper one and Metro 2033. Life is funny that wayAcidote said:Metro bought for 2.5
No cereal for a couple of days.
Gotta Catch'em all!scorpscarx said:If you bought Metro but were never going to play it, why not buy it and keep it to use as trading material?
I haven't bought a game recently, you can do that now right there is some check box during checkout?
Caerith said:I got Metro 2033 also. Since I'm building a new PC soon, I figured $5 is worth buying both a game and a benchmark.
scorpscarx said:Lol, Metro is awesome for both of those reasons. Great experience.
Can anyone confirm that question about buying to add to your gift registry? Thanks

Once Dota 2 releases, the servers will probably be so busy people won't be able to launch games for like a week. ;(Mrbob said:I'm always interested in looking at Steam stats. I notice the total pool of concurrent users online is at 3.8 million, so the service is creeping up to 4 million. I think this is the highest Steam has ever been at in terms of concurrent users. Will Steam push over 4 million concurrent before Dota 2 release?

Even without DOTA, Winter Steam sale would push it over. Every big sale has always increased the amount of users on by a few hundred thousand. After last Christmas, it was around 3.1-3.2, prior to it, 2.7-2.8. Etc.Archie said:The Dota 2 beta will push it to 4 million. The live version will push it to 5 million.

Wuht? It was £5 for the UK, unless it got cheaper.ymmv said:It's even cheaper in Euroland: 2,50
Crazy price (but I pass since I don't enjoy first person shooters)
Ah, so you are human then. You've been frightening me the way that every time I've logged in to Steam you've bought a new 49 game.Twinduct said:Gah, with my pc upgrade I'm not too sure if I can afford Space marine this month .. well month of Sept I mean.
