Did they ever fix the controls in Dungeon Siege? I played the demo for a while on both keyboard and controller and gave up out of frustration.

Edit: a 2.6 Gb Psychonauts update. WTF?

So I played the demo of Civ V but man it just throws you into it, no tutorial or anything. I think I could like the game if I knew what I was doing. Also the Narrator... Liam Neeson?
I think the actual full game has a tutorial, though you presumably missed the Steam sale by now. I thought Civ 4 was pretty confusing and I never made it very far, but Civ 5 seemed to do a good job of explaining things and I made it all the way through a game.

Psychonauts 2 demo

Sadly only Steam achievements, cloud support and a Mac update.

Civ V is plenty accessible. The game does a much better job of helping you understand what your choices mean than previous Civs. That said, it has other issues ... but none that should really matter too much to a new Civ player.

Also, it's not Liam Neeson, but rather W. Morgan Sheppard.

probably a weird one but is MotionJoy working for anyone else? Whenever I go into it, the screen just says "500 Internal Server Error". It's weird cause it shouldn't really have anything to do with the internet other than the ads.
Was wondering about the same issue. Can't get the DS3 tool to launch, and all I get is a 500 error. Can't even load the webpage either, and there doesn't seem to be any way to load the drivers locally, what gives?

Crasher, the A-RTS with vehicles, was pulled off of Steam. The official website is no longer available and the Facebook page hasn't been updated since April. I guess the company went out of business.

Quick, tell me about Gundemonium now! It looks great, it sounds great, it can't be a really good game, can it?

Never played Psychonauts, DLing the demo as we speak. I want to see why the mention of this game brings these types of responses:

Crazy-ass and fantastic platformer made by Tim Schafer and written by Erik Wolpaw (now writer at Valve, wrote Portal and Portal 2)

Did they patch a fun game into Psychonauts or is that too much to ask for?

I never seen such a horrible launch and handling of a game.

Also curious about Dungeon Siege 3. Heard this one wasn't quite as buggy as most Obsidian stuff.. Played the demo for a bit, but given that it's Obsidian, I doubt what little I played is representative of the whole.

Any good?

It is good. It's probably not gonna be in any GOTY lists, but it's a solid game. I did a little write up in this thread when I finished it a couple months ago:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=30303731&postcount=12401
TL;DR - the plot and characters were below par for an Obsidian game, but the combat system is a lot of fun and I thought the pacing and length were just right for a game like this. I wasn't blown away by it, but it was worth the time I spent with it.

Plus, everyone should buy it just to support our heroes @ Obsidian.

Odd, they just released Lucha Fury on XBLA and PSN a couple weeks ago. Must have been last thing they were doing before shutting down.

EDIT: Guess it was part of Mindscape ditching the games industry:

I haven't played it myself, but here's a lengthy video explaining how the game works;

It looks kind of interesting. I like monsters and I like football, maybe I'll get it a shot.
Well, it's not that I don't know about how the game works. I played the board game (not much and long ago). The thing that worries me is how does the online work. If you can resume online games, how's the AI, etc. The board game was lots of fun.

I have Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem on my Steam wishlist, yet I still can't justify buying it for $5.

I should probably take it off my wishlist.

I just wanted a game like Death Rally :(

Anyone know why the Red Orchestra 2 Beta is downloading a pretty large update? I forgot to uninstall it when I got the full game.
I'm surprised I still have this thing on my list. I don't own the game.

I'm guessing it's still not much more than eyecandy and a cool story.
That was basically my impression, yeah. Made me laugh a lot but not enough to make up for not really enjoying the gameplay. I might try it with a guide or something so I can breeze through it and enjoy Erik's jokes.

Anyway, apparantly:

- Steamplay (Mac Version)
- Achievements
- Steamcloud
- Graphical updates (level files and shaders updated + new directx files)
- Localization updates

Is the 360 controller support confirmed?

I know the game accepted the 360 controller as a general "game-pad" but you had to bind everything yourself. Does this add 360 button overlays?

I'll check when I get off work in a few hours in case no one has yet.

Wow, totally forgot about the bf3 beta. I had early access due to owning MoH too. Oh well.

LOL Rise of the Immortals. The art of that game haunts my dreams =/

I haven't checked it yet myself, but according to the Double Fine forums it is.

:D

Not that I needed much motivation to start this game up again, but achievements and better PC gamepad controls means I'm starting this as soon as I get home.
