The only games on my wishlist that are not on sale are EA published.

Risk Factions
Bulletstorm
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

I am sad.

Amazingly, Cargo: Quest for Gravity is still standing firm at 19.99 with 0 discount.

Easy rule;
- If it's a daily sale, buy it on the daily sale.
- If it's not a daily sale, wait until the last day just in case. You can never be sure.

..and if it's a daily sale and you want it buy it asap, don't wait as prices change. Remember DMC4 last year.

Its a rookie mistake to buy stuff the first day of a steam sale
And then you complain when the price goes back up from 75% off to 50% off due to its price being a mistake.

Someone probably already mentioned this but BTTF The Game is half off. Highly considering it.

But yeah, I'm going to wait until the splash page is up. I want to see what the deals of the day are.

The bitter tears if the sale doesn't happen today will be

.

You guys really are hyping yourselves up too much. If it happens, it'll happen. It's not like these sales are ever first come, first served with limited supply. Chillax, yo.

wasn't [Recettear] part of a 5 dollar indie bundle last year?
Yes it was, and Recettear alone was worth it. Can't wait for Chantelise.

The first thing I bought on Steam was Torchlight during last years Christmas sale for 10$. It was a daily deal the next day for 5$.... I learned my lesson!

I'm pretty sure Super Street Fighter IV with 43% discount for SFIV owners is a fucking mistake.

It's a PRE-ORDER, it's not supposed to have a discount. Buy it while you still can is my advice for the day.

But borderlands is already 75%, it can't possibly get cheaper than that, right?
You wait until the last day of the sale and buy it then. They're not going to remove a deal (unless it's a mistake).

There is clearly a sale. Do a search.

Yeah. The developers lamented that decision insofar that they jumped at the chance to be included in a sale and didn't wait to see how a lesser-aggressive sale would have faired for them.

wat? The Summer Sale is happening right now, it's just the splashpage hasn't gone up yet.

Pretty much. The only exception being any obvious pricing errors one might want to take advantage of.

Have we seen any of these?

Also, picking up any of the daily deals on the first day is also ok.

I have taken advantage of at least four different pricing errors that they fixed doing that. Missed out on that crazy 1C Complete Pack for $20 because I waited.

With a situation like that I wouldnt kick myself for buying at that price. Thats like $5.00 right? any further discounts will only save you a dollar or less.

Just pulled the trigger on these since they're small indies that won't be daily deals. Getting great $10 games for $2.50 is arguably the sweetest thing about these sales. Mega publisher packs give great deals, but you gotta drop big money to get them. So, I like small things like this, instead.

Your Shopping Cart

$2.49 Harvest: Massive Encounter
$2.49 Hinterland
$1.24 Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben There, Dan That! Double Pack

Total: $6.23
