James Bond: Blood Stone is now 66% off. Maybe that's the Midweek Madness deal?
I liked this a lot. The driving sequences are gorgeous and the Gears of Bond bits feel tight. The story was boring, but the areas you visit are neat.

Gamepad support? Don't see it on the store page but that doesn't really mean anything.

I am jealous of everyone that has more than $20 set aside for the sale. I have $6 in my paypal and a steam code for Brink and Hunted hat I will try bartering with :(

Yeah, everything but button prompts change which is a bit annoying, but didn't stop me. The pad felt excellent controls wise.

Cheapest: Chime for $1.25

Most expensive: Star Trek Online - Deluxe Edition (preorder) for $59.99 (UGH)

Also the Gods and Heroes guys must have been PISSED when Steam started pushing the F2P MMOs a week ago.

Also, anyone curious about Quantum of Solace probably shouldn't buy it. It is locked at 30 fps for no reason, has no pad support and feels like shit because of it (mouse + 30 fps = intolerable).

It's a weird combo of QoS and Casino Royale and the it's just a linear FPS w/ third person cover.

While I hate being locked to 30fps as well, what is the mouse issue exactly?

Ouch, I always wanted to try out Blood Stone but taking $13 out of my summer sale fund hurts. I heard the game is short, is it over 6 hours at least?

So GAF what's the cheapest game and most expensive game you bought from steam? (not including free)

Cheapest: The misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom £0.39

Expensive: Call of Duty Black Ops £39.99

Cheapest: Winterbottom for 0.50
Most expensive: Railworks for 19.99

Both worth it in their own ways. Worst value for money I've bought so far is Aquaria, which I bought for $16 in 2008 and still haven't played more than an hour of. It's been on sale quite a few times since then. :/

Isn't it GFWL game? Why no pad support?

I paid $6 for Railworks as a joke and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It's ugly, janky, and has some of the worst menus I've ever seen, but it can easily be played one handed and was my go to game when trying to get my daughter to fall asleep on my shoulder.

Most expensive - $50 for Orange Box, it looks like.

And cheapest would be $1.25 for Chime. I could have sworn I got something for a dollar, but I'm not seeing it in my history.

It's a shoddy port of a movie tie-in game rushed out for release alongside the film.

Oddly enough, I believe the 360 version runs closer to a targeted 60 FPS since it's running on the Modern Warfare engine.

Truly baffling why they felt the need to limit it to 30 FPS on PC.

Cheapest: PB Winterbottom for $.50
Most Expensive: Civ V and Alpha Protocol for $50. Civ V was worth it since I played it for about 40 hours multiplayer with friends immediately upon release. Alpha Protocol was so very much not worth it. Total impulse buy I justified to myself because I thought I was supporting a cool unique developer. Turns out I was wrong.

Amusingly enough, I kind of wanted to impulse buy Dungeon Siege 3. But now recalling impulse buying AP, I won't. I probably wasn't going to anyway though.

I read somewhere that GFWL only requires gamepad support if the game has controller support.

If the developer doesn't include controller support, he doesn't have to include gamepad support either. Thank goodness because some games would be terrible with a gamepad like Dawn of War 2.

Crysis 2 - $60 on Steam,

Doesn't seem worth it now.

I dunno, dude, you have Crysis 2 on Steam. You're now part of an exclusive club.

Anyways, I think Winterbottom would also be the least I've spent. I still haven't tried playing it yet, I should do that.

Most would be Bulletstorm. It's the only time I've spent $60 on a PC game, but I wanted to blow some money at the time.

Goes to zam.com for me, Lulzsec?

They're just changing DNS records. Their registrar was previously MarkMonitor Inc. until today. It's now been given over to GoDaddy. Cached DNS lookups from 9 days ago showed MarkMonitor managing Direct2Drive's DNS records, current lookups show GoDaddy, and the DNS records themselves have been updated today. It's just a move.
I hope.

you better buy the FUCK out of Ben There, Dan That! + Time Gentlemen, please!. Two of the funniest games i played in years, and they are only 1.25USD as the daily deal. I made a zombie cow (now Size Five Games, they changed the name last month) thread in the past but it kinda died. A shame, wonderful studio.

All I needed was one post telling me how it was. Looks great. Purchasing.

Mouse controls feel awful at 30 fps, it feels floaty.
That sounds like a software cursor, not really an issue with the fps itself per se.

Typical of console ports though (lazy)
