PM Snuggles if you want to get him to add stuff to the OP, I'm sure he'd be happy to put Steam Mover and stuff in there.

lol

It's funny because this is the stuff I miss about WoW, the weird and occasionally moderately disturbing social politics of the game world. I actually started playing originally because of that video where the Horde guild ganked an Alliance guild who were holding an in-game funeral for their guildie who died irl. The whole thing was just so fascinating to me.

Anyway, I'ma change my avatar back now. People are hitting on me in other threads cos they think I'm you.

I'm watching a movie-that-I-did-not-source-myself and despite the desire to see Emily Browning naked I find myself strangely attracted to the avatar and persona duology playing itself out before me.

Edit: Way to ruin the context of this post, JJB. :(

Nothing concrete yet, but I can feel them undressing my words with their eyes through the internets.

since you are so fascinated by "moderately disturbing social politics" does that mean you play(ed) eve?

Hah!

You knew it couldn't last forever. Eventually one of the personalities would rise up and become dominant, and let's face it we all knew which one that was going to be. This is for the best.

With EVE I've always contented myself with reading about all of the fun stuff. The only reason I ever played WoW at all was because of a bunch of mates who played, I'm really more of a masturbatory gamer.

Ok, random question, if you only had 10 bucks and had to choose between The Last Remnant or Dawn of War 2, what would it be?

I guess what i'm asking is, within the context of their respective genres, which game is a better deal?

Be that as it may, it still hurts. I'm having gender-reversed flashbacks to the cupid scene in Room in Rome. (The film sounds like softcore lesbian porn, and it is, but despite the cloying script, the verbal and sexual exchanges are well-directed. /seeitifyouhavenothingbettertodo)

Edit: The link refers you to the film's IMDb page, and the chosen picture is, well, NFSW.

I can't vouch for DoW, but it is obviously a well liked seres.
I CAN tell you that Last Rem is a great game with a crazy combat system and a decent story. It is also much much better on PC than Xbox.

Last Remnant doesn't go on sale as often as Dawn of War which will likely be on sale yet again during the Christmas sale if that helps any.

Despite owning them, I can't speak of the gameplay side of the decision, but financially I would definitely get LR and save up for the THQ everything pack during the next sale. No sense in paying $10 for one game when you can get a shitton for $40 more when you get the extra money together. Besides, LR hardly ever goes on sale Iirc.

Both are great games, but if i had to choose Retribution gets my vote. Its worth it just for the Last Stand mode alone.

Well some of them are ports, but still.

xpost from the games you been playing threads:

  • So, 15 total so far.

  • Haha, I just meant that you math didn't add up. 1% of 20 games would mean you've played less than one non-PC game ;)

Angry Bi... oh.

This makes my really angry (heh) after just reading several Top iOS games lists where they crowned Angry Birds as the best iOS game. I played the thing, it's not the best, by far, thank you very much.

But repetition with the only variation pertaining to aesthetic veils is fun! Or so I hear. From the obnoxious Rovio figurehead.

It is so.

I'm not hatin' the molotovs so far. So far.

I feel like the player speed is a teeny tiny bit too slow though. But it's just a feeling, can't really tell.

So does The Last Remnant PC version have a real New Game+ (like, levels, items, etc. carried over)?

I own the 360 version, but the countless bugs, horrible load times, and shit framerate really keeps me from playing it, so I am looking into buying this.

From wiki:
New Game+ in the PC version:

■New Game+ is an option available after having completed the game's storyline.
■The following are carried over to the new game: components, formations, magazines, maps, Mr. Diggs's status (including his Digs count), customization level, and items that unlock arts for Rush (effectively Rush gains the first tier of those arts). You will also begin with a certain amount of gold based on the number of quests you have completed.
■Additionally, Hard Mode is available in which monsters are considerably stronger than their counterparts in normal difficulty.
■Monsters have less HP in Hard Mode.

I'm having a problem with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, it crashes abruptly when it is loading a level. I don't have idea what might be causing it.

It was a generalization.
