Why not do it on Greenmangaming with the -25% coupon? http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/nl/en/pc/games/action/hitman-absolution-2/
Fairly confident you can pre-order Hitman Absolution on Steam and GMG (at a better price currently, but potentially without pre-load)
I suppose that's the issue with the 'no boss' attitude.
Nothing gets done in a timely manner. Kinda sucks.
I don't use key resellers.
GMG isn't a key reseller.....
They purchase keys/copies of the game and sell them. How is it inappropriate to label them as such?

I don't use key resellers. On one hand I don't trust these sites, I don't know where they get their keys or how they can afford to undercut everyone the way they do and on the other you lose out on potential bonuses for pre-ordering or being able to pre-load the game if you don't buy the game through Steam. I know a lot of people have been using Green Man Gaming for a while now but I just don't trust these 3rd party key resellers.
On the bombcast from Tuesday, it seemed as if they knew when the sale would start. One of them went (in reference to the steam sales) "That starts in two weeks right?" and they kept talking.

Especially when Steam has had problems for years, recently broke offline mode, now has a crash and/or app freeze and refuses to connect every single time it's launched for the first time on fresh bootup now, DOTA 2 grinds the hard disk like crazy every time it updates, and if memory serves me right, quite a few TF2 updates break crazy things, introduce bugs, or what have you. And when something popular happens like a game release or an event, Valve's servers go down or go crazy. The wait may hurt, the end result doesn't. Ain't no polish like Valve Polish.

I like Valve, but they have so many janky things that it kind of boggles my mind how people act like they're super polished.
TF2 is my the Valve game I play the most, and it's been super janky at times. I guess one could say that Valve's single-player release games are usually pretty polished, but there are so few of those. My comment was more in regard to Valve's games than the Steam client. (That said, I distinctly recall a lot of faux outrage regarding Portal 2's "please don't turn off your console" message when saving a game in the PC version!)
They buy keys straight from the Pub. If you don't trust GMG then may as well label Amazon a key reseller since they buy keys including getting Pubs to give them special steam keys that wouldn't exist otherwise.
Guys, having a contract with a publisher to sell their game doesn't make you a key reseller, buying physical copies and reselling those keys does. There is a very clear and distinct difference.
GMG gets the keys directly from the publishers or developers, it's all official. Key resellers buy games in bulk from third/second world countries, scan the key and then throw out the box or ship it back along with a crack or something. They aren't remotely the same thing.

I missed the Sleeping Dogs deal last time at GMG but with their recent 25% off coupon, you can get Sleeping Dogs for $30 and maybe even less if you still have trade ins. It's a steamworks game if anybody is wondering, comes out August 14th.
You know what feature I'd like in Steam? Plugins. They've opened up so much of their game tools for the community to play with that I'd like to see the same happen with the client. It doesn't have to be letting people get deep down into the program where they could exploit things, but if someone could add a right click context menu entry to create save folder symlinks with my dropbox folder I'd be super happy.
I'm sure that the community could find a lot of ways to improve things in the client, like auto categorization based on genre, notification popups when wishlisted games go on sale, a clock showing how much time as passed since the last Half-Life release for easier complaining, etc. There are a lot of people out there who would love to tackle some of these things and have some great ideas that many of us could use.
$2 once bought me Alpha Protocol.Tried the Offpsring Fling! demo and I loved it. However, I'm still debating with myself if I'm going to throw a hissy fit over ~$1-2 if it does go cheaper. It's only $2 yet it's still $2.
Can you link to a source of this? I was always under the impression Steam was manned like any other Valve project, rotating staff. I would think since they have multiple games in development, and Steam doesn't have any massive, glaring issues, that it doesn't get a lot of focus. When Valve has a new feature to show off, they'll let us know. The problem is that still hasn't happened, I'm guessing because of valve time but didn't the team working on steam leave a year or two ago?

get it foooools, it's great, doubt it'll be cheaper, and if so it'll be for like 1 buck
But it can happen!

Stop tempting me, Salsa! I might bite, though...
Oh, I've got a spare Just Cause 2 key. Anybody want it?
Exactly why my internal processes cannot come to a consensus. Bah.
Me? If possible?
Well think of it this way. Down the line it will go down in price, if not, it will be featured in some Bundle or not. Having said that If you enjoyed the demo and feel you'll enjoy the full product, no point not to pull the trigger though. It's cheap =)
Personally I'm not a fan of the game type, but want to support it. Although at the current price point, or slightly higher, I can currently buy other games I want to support/ wanted to buy for a long time.
Sent it! Enjoy :3
The list of "Why doesn't ..." is a big one:
Why doesn't Steam have a download speed setting?
Why doesn't Steam have chat logs?
Why doesn't Steam have a global automatic update setting window?
Why doesn't Steam have a decent Offline Mode?
Why doesn't Valve announce Half-Life 3 already?
...and so on.
How about sending a message? Can you imagine XBL or PSN without the ability to send a message? Makes no sense why it isn't in there. That's one of the reasons I like gfwl. There's already a little mailbox icon at the top right where you get to see new invites or gifts, why not have it be messages as well
You can comment and it will show up in the mailbox the next time the person is onilne but it's not private like xbl or psn.
You can only access it if you're online prior.whats so bad about offline mode?
didnt they use to have an offline button where you sign on?You can only access it if you're online prior.

You mean comment on their profile? That's not it.
Don't they serve the same function with one being private and the other public?
great... I can just imagine the messages that will pop up every time:
Dear Sir
I saw you playing well in TF2, I also noticed you had a hat that I wanted, I can offer some reclaimed metal for it, I would offer something else but my family is poor and will not give me any money to buy it.
PS: I also noticed you had a bunch of games in your inventory that you was not using, can I have them as well?
best regards
