The race to 80% off isn't too odd when you consider that while La-Mulana is somewhat new to Steam, the remake was originally released well over a year ago now.

Rochard is one of the new weekly deals, it's two bucks and its dlc is forty cents.
I remember Alpha Protocol for $2 and Misadventures of PB Winterbottom for $0.49.
That Alpha Protocol deal has yet to be surpassed.
The SR3 + DLC bundle that existed at the time of last year's Summer Sale was 93% off on Steam AU for the duration of the Flash Sale it was part of/Community's Choice poll it'd won.
I remember that CS GO price error for a few secs ofr over 90% I think.
Sleeping Dogs had that price error, I don't know if it was over 90, and the Sonic mega Collection was 5$/5£, I'm pretty sure that was 90% off.

My apologies. I just checked where I purchased it (Amazon) and you are correct. That is simply a key for activating the game, not a Steam key.

Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs pack goes up on Amazon for $13.99 tomorrow.
3 titles for a little over $4 a pop is a pretty good value.
I'm picking the pack up for Tomb Raider. I already have Sleeping Dogs and don't have much interest in Hitman Absolution. Heard some divisive opinions on the title, excited to dive into it and check it out for myself.

Think it was 92%, I remember because I bought almost 20 copies for gaffers.
It was, during the winter sale where we could get coal.

I think I'm going slightly insane, backlog is full but instead of playing anything else than Borderlands 2 I keep checking all retailers for deals on the Season pass and thinking about when the next Steam sale is and/if it will be cheap then.

It's nothing like it. The only thing they got in common is that they both have platforming elements (Spelunky more than La-Mulana).
La Mulana is a metroidvania oriented towards puzzle and riddles resolution with a gigantic amount of content (20 to 30hrs depending on how much you use a guide). The game is also very hard and you will need to retry some boss battles a lot to get through them.
The platforming is stiff but you can do nice things with it when you master it.

The riddles/puzzles get really tough to resolve once you hit approx. the middle of the game (Gate of Illusion) so there's no shame in using a guide when you get there to at least know where you should be going since the map is so fucking huge. There's also a few riddles that will make you say "that's bullshit and you know it" but it's part of the game (I'm talking Numb3rs levels of fuckedness here). It's still manageable to beat the game without a guide but it's five-months-old-baguette hard.
All in all, depending on how the game clicks with you it can range from being an obtuse and weird piece of software to one of the best/the best metroidvania ever made. One thing's for sure and it's quoted in the store page : we may never get another game like La-Mulana.
