That would ensure no one ever buys a Nintendo console again, since the company can't (or won't) keep the titles that make its consoles worth owning exclusive. It would make people wait until the next Nintendo game gets released on PS4 or Xbox One; after all, if Bayonetta 2 (a game funded by Nintendo) managed to escape its hands, who's to say Pikmin 3 won't follow?They still could take % of profit from sales on other platforms. Everything can be negotiated. I am sure that Nintendo lost money on Bayonetta 2 deal. People won't buy Wii U for that one game is they are not interested in rest of the Nintendo games.
If people aren't interested in a Wii U that has Bayonetta 2 as a selling point, they would be even less interested in one without it.
