whoa the mic really picks up me typing / playing on the keyboard on the stream lol (its a desk mic, not part of the headset). Also its...bizarre hearing yourself speak, like "who is that?"

I was trying to work out where you accent was from. It was familiar as someone joined out FIFA PC club who was also Portuguese!

ffs, my d: was acting weird so I went ahead and plugged it into another sata slot, and my windows wouldn't boot, so I was thinking maybe I fucked something up so I plugged it back to the original slot, lol, but shit still wouldn't boot and stuck at a windows logo!

So I started safemode and I find that it was stuck at loading aswrvrt.sys, i was trying to find a solution on the net and just when i clicked on the links my internet went down, fuck!

Turns out it was avast or some shit so I went into command prompt and moved that aswrvrt.sys file from the drivers folder somewhere else and now it boots, god damn it.

And now my internet is back, wtf

Hmmm my sister uses avast and recently just ran into something similar. Will see if that fixes it for her.

All I've gleaned from comments about Avast over the past month or so is that it's Apaininthearse.

Excuse me while I get in the way back machine here but I'm having fun with AC:Brotherhood. One of those games that was acquired for cheap on a Steam sale that I never played.

My question is, once I finish should I just skip right to Black Flag? My impression is that Revelations and III weren't particularly well received. I'm really enjoying Brotherhood as it feels like a natural evolution to AC II but I don't know what new mechanics and systems they added to the next two games or if they are worth spending time with.

Revelations is worthwhile. Its biggest flaw is just that it brings very little of its own identity to the AssCreed 2 template. I'd skip 3, though, if the Colonial America setting does nothing for you.

it looks good.

I would still play Revelations, to have an ending to Ezio's adventure, plus it's still fun. Good thing that tower defense stuff is mostly skippable.

AC3 is dull, and the modern day arc goes nowhere.

I am very pleased to wake up to see folks giving positive impressions of Mount Your Friends.

You especially need this game if you have parties and/or drunk people over to your place. Local multi can be crowd pleasing.

I quite like Revelations. Story wise it kind of felt more like a side story or something that would be lumbered in a tie in novel to bridge the gap, especially the Desmond first person segments. Constantinople though was fantastic to explore and I feel that Revelations has the best Assassin's tombs in the series if you like the parkour-puzzle-race elements to them. Controls get the first taste of messing with wholesale change to the puppeteering concept almost thrown out the window. Eagle Vision is on the left stick button and a few others are shifted around. Combat and traversal have some upgrades that make each respective element a bit easier but can be more fun so your not doing the defend, counter shuffle for 20 mins against 5 guys. The Hook Blade is the biggest change to all the mechanics as it ties in well with traversal and can be very handy in evasion too. Bombs are also a big part of Revelations and there's various types to craft and use for different situations. Revelations also has one of my favourite characters in the series in Yusuf. Also if you have a beef with those pesky minstrels who get right in your there's a mission you will get your own back.

I would go on a long, long rant about my likes and dislike about AC III but it mainly boils down to the horrendous PC performance in the bigger towns like Boston and I haven't really had time to reevaluate it now I've got more capable hardware. I did finish it on 360 but out of every single AC game it's the only one I rushed through as fast as possible and skipped most of the side content. I did like the naval stuff (and subsequently love Black Flag for expanding on this) but missed out a lot of the Homestead missions. Apparently some of the better interactions and side stories are in these missions.

I'd say give Revelations a shot and take it from there. It's about 10-12 hours long to finish the story missions so is the shortest AC outside of Liberation and about 20ish if you want to 100% it.

Didn't RE4HD PC came with High Res textures already? Or were only some of those updated?
It's a long-term fan-made mod, so it's still a work-in-progress with no ETA for a finished build. Capcpom would never go through the effort to painstakingly recreate the game with such dedicated accuracy.

I got an email from this account saying that someone is trying to change my email and password on my uPlay account? is this legit? or some phishing scam?

Revelations is worth it for the new setting of Istanbul and the fact that it (almost) wraps up Ezio's story. You get to see a man questioning all the choices he made throughout his life and the consequences of said choices. The sacrifices he has had to make in service of the Assassins. The story has a contemplative tone and has at least as much depth as the one in Brotherhood, which catches so much praise.

Every time I've dealt with UbiSoft's support in the last yeah the email address has either been from a generic one or no-reply@cs.ubisoft.com but always ending in ubisoft.com.

Check the message header to see where it's come from but look dodgy to me.

thanks. not sure what to do anyway. seems silly to change my password anyway cause they obviously don't know it otherwise they would just log in and change it to something they want.

It wraps up even more beautifully if you watch the short film they made after finishing the game. The Ezio story trilogy was so damn good.

They do use the domain ubi.com and I have had emails in the past from AccountSupport@ ubi.com either promotional or security based but I've had one since and it ended in ubisoft.com. It's hard to tell with that disaster after the amount of times Uplay has had security issues. I tend to err or the side of caution and never click any links in an email from them that's support based.

I am kinda embarrassed by how I acted on the last stream so I opted to sit this one out. Plus i'm much faster than when i'm streaming.

That was awesome though.

lol what did I miss last night? I knocked out early so I didn't even watch the stream :(

Uh, wow. I just unpacked my first CS:GO crate for shits and giggles as I remembered I had two keys sitting in my inventory:

It's worth $80.

That luck! Congrats Jase! I keep getting tempted to wanna buy skins or open a crate, then I remember I've opened 15 crates before during last time I played CS alot and never even got a Purple or Pink rare, let alone a knife lol. Then again it was right when all the skins came out, maybe it has better drop rates now >_<

damn it feels good to be a gansta

Get to sellin'!!! How many games with drops did you start with?

So Chivalry Medieval Warfare is on sale right now, and I've always wanted to try it. I have a retina MacBook Pro, 13" and my specs are as follows:

Intel Core i5 2.6 GHz
Intel Iris / HD 5100
8GBs of DDR3 RAM

Kill him for an achievement and some cash. But running away doesn't affect anything later.

Speaking of Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft and shady deals surprise, surprised it's another Ubisoft game disappearing from Steam in the UK with Unity coming off the store here about 19 hours ago. Granted I doubt very many people would have wanted to pay 50 quid but what is going on with this now? It's quite a common occurrence (well at least this time it was up for a day or two unlike FC3, ACIII and Watch_Dogs being AWOL for a long time).

The Scorpion thing has the most health of any enemy in the game, you can defeat him and there is a way to do it, but you are given the choice to fight or flee. If you beat him he drops a shit ton of money though, but he can take three rocket launchers regularly, making him have more health than any other RE monster in RE4 and the series

Wait you can actually kill him? I always just ran from his ass I could never beat him normally with my weaponry.

One rocket while it is frozen will kill it and the game gives you one a few areas back. Killing it with your other weapons is a huge waste of ammo, though it is more fun bobbing and weaving around.

Thanks for the feedback on AC: Revelations. Looks like I had misjudged it completely. I'll pick it up next time it goes on sale.

The jury is still out on AC III I guess. I am interested in the setting but it seems to get mixed reviews at best. I guess it's not much of a risk since I'll wait for a sale for that too.

I'm sort of tempted to pick it up on the Wii U for novelty's sake to be honest, but that's just me being silly.

Why are we so happy to make at least 1 Gaben Dollar from selling our cards?
Why does it feel so cheerful and satisfying?
Still got 100 games to idle, so at this rate I could make $15 extra at best...

Speaking of Assassin's Creed, I noticed that Black Flag is down to £19.99 as the 'full price'. Bodes well for a £10/50% discount in the next Steam sale.

I hope so! I picked up ACIII in the last sale, and hope to have it done by the next one! :)

That's why the freeze canisters are there. Use those and he's a pushover.

I noticed that in the elevator room but when I finally noticed it I shot him a bunch, didnt kill him, he unfroze and the elevator arrived so I said fuck it

this long stretch was a pain between saves too with the 2 el gigantes and then the bugs and shit, finally saved tho, 4-3 now, this game is loooooooooooong

I thought retail in UK prevents a lot of games from being pre-orderable from digital retailers. I know it's happened in the past.

You're supposed to take the rocket launcher from the previous area, freeze him with a canister, then shoot the rocket. One is all it takes.

Fuck yeah. Might finally pickup the Gold edition when it goes on sale then, it will probably be a good deal.

I see it as reclaiming rather than making money. It's kind of like when you get a gift voucher for a present. The thought is nice but you can't exactly spend it where you want.

Even at Ubisoft's traditional 40% off I'd say it's worth it at that price. You could pick it up off Amazon for in and around £14 in February but after Watch_Dogs didn't key keys for Steam outside of the main store I think all the cheap deals for Unity and FC4 are going to be Uplay only. Tempted to see if they get an Nvidia promo and have a look at pricing there first.
I thought retail in UK prevents a lot of games from being pre-orderable from digital retailers. I know it's happened in the past.
Yeah it's happened before and the publishers involved were Zenimax, THQ and Ubisoft. Zenimax stuff hasn't happened in a while and has been day and date with the rest of the world and THQ have sadly gone belly up but Ubisoft are the only ones that pop up with the "Opps. Sorry this isn't available in your region". Watch_Dogs was the same but cropped up for preorder about a fortnight before hand where as ACIII and FC3 weren't available to purchase until about a couple of weeks after the Steam release date. When I emailed support for Steam and Ubisoft about Watch_Dogs they both pointed the finger at each other. As to what is causing this odds on its a specific retailer, namely GAME but they have denied everything in the past but every game that hasn't appeared on Steam has has a special edition sold by them so it's a bit of coincidence.
