Finished playing Expeditions: Conquistador a little bit ago. It's a really great turn based tactical RPG. It's currently in a bundle for $2.99 right now, so if you're into TRPGs, it's a great deal, too.

Yep, fantastic game, criminally overlooked.
Yep. The combat can feel a bit repetitive after some hours as it doesn't have tons of variations, but is still pretty solid and the roleplaying side is just fantastic. In some ways it reminds me to Banner Saga.
I played Shadowgate today for about 6 hours.
This game is such a gem, and has so many things for the player to do. I was able to beat the master difficulty and earned 50% of the game's achievements, which means I still missed quite a bit. The game's achievements are well done and provide a great incentive for people to really leave no stone unturned. One of my favorite parts of this game is all of the nods to the classic Shadowgate. The game isn't a screen-for-screen remake of the original, and a lot of the puzzles have been reworked considerably. The additional back-story elements are great too and provide a bit more depth than the original experience.
Anyway, this game is probably the best point-and-click adventure I've ever played, dethrowning even the original classic. I'm also going to say it's in the running for the top 5 best games released this year.

I'm playing The Witcher 2 right now and I feel like I should have played the first one. They're talking about Yennefer, and apparently she has a history with Triss or Geralt but I have no idea what it is.
EDIT: Oh, they kind of explained it in very general terms. They have a kid, and a bad relationship?
Oh good. I felt like there was a lot of lore I was missing, but not I figure they'll explain most of it later.Yennefer isn't in the first one at all, she's a character from the books but she's going to be in the third one.
With the Icewind Dale enhanced talk, the Baldur Gate enhanced edition games were good, right?
Been meaning to pick it up at some point, but not sure if I should go with the enhanced or the original version from GoG.

Icewind Dale Enhanced is next on the docket for Beamdog?

Oh, he was degraded from god and creator to a mere king? Ouch.
I'll probably either read a wiki or go back and play the first one before I play 3. Maybe I should play it right now. I really want to keep playing 2 though, and it would probably take me forever to get through 1.You're missing a ton of lore, but since Geralt conveniently has amnesia, it isn't really required knowledge for the games.

I was actually thinking of doing that! Maybe I'll read them this week and resume my TW2 playthrough when I'm done. I'm not very far in, just got toYou could read the books too . The first two, short stories compilations to set up the world, are amazing and a great way to get used to Geralt and friends.
Which books should I read? Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish? Or The Last Wish and Blood of Elves?
Is there some reason why Resident Evil 4 isn't capitalized on the store page or is this just a Capcom thing?

With most Japanese publishers going ALL CAPS with everything, I welcome this change. That's how it's written on the box.

I'm going to grab The Last Wish on kindle once I finish reading Metro 2033, and I'll have to order a physical copy of Sword of Destiny. Apparently they haven't got a kindle version yet.The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny are the short stories compilations and, in my opinion, the best books of the series.
The other five (Blood of Elves until Lady of the Lake) are the actual saga. They are pretty good, but somehow I find them less interesting than the short stories.
If you want to know EVERYTHING, then read all of them. If you just want to know how Geralt world works, the first two. For both Witcher 1 and 2 you don't really need to know much of them, although you can get spoilered in both games. Witcher 3 seems to be more involved wirh the books saga.
I swear, everytime I load up STALKER: CoP I get reminded of how it's one of the best games ever made. Time to share a STALKER story:

I think I'll hold off reading the other 5 until I've played 3. I'd hate to ruin large parts of it unknowingly.

I think METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE is the same way, lol
Thanks for all the recommendations guys, I'll grab The Last Wish this week!
Just so I know, about how long would it take me to play through TW1's main quest? If it wouldn't take a ton of time, I might just read the books AND play it before resuming TW2. But if it's some absurd length and not really worth playing, I'll pass for now.
do you really sleep for 20 hrs
Being super nice and friendly help. I've made a few friends over the past few days.
Scratch their back and they scratch yours. You know.
Shit. Turfster likes it.
I'm worried now.

Ok, that OP made me want to play it. Shit, there goes another couple dozen hours...Time played for me says 61 hours. I played it earlier this year. It really is an incredible game though. Better than TW2 as far as story and setting in my opinion.
I'm a witcher, I win. lttp with a few pics and non spoilery impressions.
That's how it's written on the box.
Is the CoD Warchest and Call of Duty Modern Warfare region locked? It's on sale right now.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed both seasons a lot. Just like Season 1, Season 2 has left me eager to see what happens next. If you want to see more of Clementine, then I would say go for it, because that is exactly what you will get.
Just think, three years from now you can be asking this question about Season 3! (SO FAR AWAY UGH!)

Did they get married?Nah, Geralt and Yennefer were married. Witchers are sterile due to the mutations and Yennefer because she is a sorceress. Ciri is his (and Yennefer's) unintentionally adopted child. Geralt died defending a elf from a lynch mob, and then Yennefer (a sorceress) tried to bring him back which cost her life. So technically both of them should be dead. Geralt is currently suffering from amnesia so he doesn't remember his past life, and his love of Yennefer, or why he is alive.
