I wonder if a preload option is gonna be available for The Evil Within 2. Especially if it's gonna be just as gigantic as the first game in size.
WWE continue to give me reasons not to buy their games. It looks like WWE2K18 will have loot boxes. From the publisher of NBA2K18, naturally.
Just buy Fire Pro Wrestling World. Better investment.
I should have picked up the Assassins Creed bundle.
https://www.videogamer.com/news/hawken-pc-servers-getting-shut-down'After 3 great years, we are shutting down the PC Steam servers to refocus our development efforts,' the post continues before mentioning that the game and all its DLC will be removed from Valve's digital distribution service come January of next year.
Hawken launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early July 2016, and judging by the language used in the announcement, the studio will now be focusing entirely on the game's console players going forward. However, the message does end by thanking PC players for their support and mentions that 'the team looks forward to creating more great games based on what weve learned from you.'

What's up with the loot box craze? That's rhetorical I know what's up with it ($), I just didn't see it coming like this after Overwatch for some reason. I really should have tho.

If all games with lootboxes took the Overwatch approach it's something I would welcome wholeheartedly. What's up with the loot box craze? That's rhetorical I know what's up with it ($), I just didn't see it coming like this after Overwatch for some reason. I really should have tho.
Valve is the best approach. I can sell all my shit, make money with the game, and can buy every damn item individually without ever opening a lootboxes. Any game with lootboxes should be like that.If all games with lootboxes took the Overwatch approach it's something I would welcome wholeheartedly.
Unfortunately most take after Valve with them at best, or do something even worse. :
I'd rather have a game that allows the lootboxes to feel like an organic progression of items that are just a candid method of in-game item acquisition rather than some meta game of Skinner box pellet feeding to then flip for pocket change.Valve is the best approach. It doesn't really feel like "organic progression" though.I'd rather have a game that allows the lootboxes to feel like an organic progression of items that are just a candid method of in-game item acquisition rather than some meta game of Skinner box pellet feeding to then flip for pocket change.
I would. If we're taking direct and specific examples here, outside of the pre-order Widowmaker skin and last year's Blizzcon skin, any item in Overwatch can be earned pretty reasonably and directly just from standard play. If you want something with the Steam market approach and it just happens to be a high demand item, well, SOL or better start saying hellooooooo when opening lootboxes. PUBG eschews this slightly at present by just offering most lootbox rewards as something you can earn through in-game play, kind of a middle ground between Valve and Overwatch, but in something like CS:GO or TF2 you get a whole lot of junk that is expressly designed to tempt one into buying keys and is generally worthless in market value due to being so abundant and requiring a transaction of some kind to get any use out of.It doesn't really feel like "organic progression" though.
Also I wouldnt call the money you can make from them "pocket change". I paid 30$ for PUBG and got over 60$ from it, and most items o do want are pretty cheap on the marketm
Is Nioh supposed to be somewhat like MH?

I just realized I own Front Mission Evolved on Steam, is the game any good? I'm interested in Left Alive, and this would be my first FM.

The multiplayer will work with the steamversion as well
No, not at all. Not sure why this comparison was made.
I've never seen an ungrateful developer as bad as these guys
Year and year in early access with almost no content update and a game filled by horrible P2W micro transaction 'till the first day of "sales"
No wonder that no one plays the game anymore, just like the latest MechWarrior
And now this, good luck selling another game at the PC crowd
Grim Dawn: Ashes of Malmouth is coming October 11th, 2017 onto Steam, GoG and Humble, priced at $17.99 for an absolute overload of new content.
Grim Dawn: Ashes of Malmouth Trailer
Looks like they have a new trailer and an official date besides just "October"! Still no steampage yet but it's only 9 days away! So maybe in the next couple of days I'd imagine they would put it up
Necromancer? Maybe the game will finally hve a proper pet class then
What is the gameplay like?

Hawken was such a disappointment. I would love a fast paced big mech skill based game, but I wasn't feeling that one much at all. Maps felt really limiting, movement felt clunky, although I don't think it was a bad game by any means it was not what I was looking for and the unlock-progression system didn't help even though it was common at the time for f2ps.

I mean, yea? The Term Diablo-like has been used to describe lootgames for a long time.
