There's some good games in this monthly but I think I own basically everything, first time that's happened with a monthly. Seasons After Fall isn't a perfect game but I really really loved it and it hit me right in the feels for sure.

I'm surprised ESO is in a bundle at all. That works for me though, I almost bought it during the past 2 steam sales so guess I'll dive in at some point here.

ESO for next month is interesting — may get me to finally try the game, but it’s also disappointing in that it’s the complete barebones edition. You’ll probably end up having to dump more than the bundle is worth buying stuff separately, vs. just buying the more complete versions of the game on sale.

New Chrono games are up:

6000 coins for Dead in Bermuda
3000 coins for Meltdown

Both with pretty solid reviews. I may get both

I got both of them. It's not like I'm using my coins for anything else.

And today's Monthly is pretty damn good. Aside from Tomb Raider which I already owned so I sold the key to someone here, I don't own any of the rest.

Actually, I don't own Orwell like I thought I did, so that's one game off my wishlist. Scanner Sombre looks interesting. I've never heard of War Game but maybe? Haven't played an RTS since Red Alert 3 I think. Shrouded Isle and Getting Over It don't look my style but I may give them a stab if I don't give them away.

Furi, Seasons, Tomb Raider would have been worth easy if I didn't have them :p I think this might be one of the weakest months for me but meh. No biggy. Still happy with my annual subscription and ESO unlock (although anyone can buy 1 month to get it) makes next month already worth.

I'm interested in ESO. How is it for the solo player? I assume no DLC is included, as usual?

Yeah, just the base game. Though it looks like it gives you 15 days of premium subscription and I believe you have access to all the DLC while you're subscribed so you'll be able to try out some of the areas to see if you want to buy them.

I've been playing ESO with a friend and have found out incredibly boring, but I've thought that about every MMO I've played.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Don't sell it short - the "complete barebones" version of this game still has hundreds of hours of content.

Do the different champions in Quake behave differently/have unique abilities or something? Or are they like Unreal Tournament where the difference is only cosmetic?

Servizio

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
Bethesda doesn't seem to do bundles via HB, but they do seem to do pretty good deals with Greenman and Bundlestars.

I am going to stick this entire crow in my mouth.

Something from a major publisher (that has put something in a HB monthly before) that either has loot crates or a lot of DLC.

I'm going to pull it out a little.

12 bucks for Quake Champions. Holy shit.

Edit:

From what I read, it doesn't include the pack. It's pretty much a free beta access. My care went down to 0.

Not sure if this was mentioned here before, but The Evil Within 2 pre-load is up. Bethesda also started to send keys to retailers, so check email for your key if you preordered it somewhere outside Steam.

Monthly wasn't bad. I am disappointed by the next month unlock tho.

BLADENET released. This one looks weird.

BLADENET is a multiplayer game of hide and seek. Blend into the virtual cyberpunk world of BLADENET, find the other players — and assassinate them to collect their data and escape. Remember someone is always watching — Stay anonymous, stay alive.

The fact it is multiplayer focused but it doesn't have a multiplayer tag of sorts threw me for a loop.

Not a mod, just a bot.
This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of an anonymous benefactor, who is running this raffle.

Ah crap. I forgot to stop my membership, so now I'm stuck with that, which I don't want. I thought I could justify it if it was the full Quake. Perhaps if they give a cheaper upgrade option

I definitely wouldn’t mind Quake Champions since it’s the Steam version (only 2 champions but still the Steam version). :)

Well it's an MMO, that's usually a given. I'm just not sure how restricted you are compared to having the DLC packs given that I haven't played/researched the game myself.

While it's true that the DLC packs (especially the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC) add quite a bit to the game and some that can be carried over into the "main" game, they primarily exist on their own and in their own zones. The base game has something like 20 zones available, and each of the major DLC packs (including Morrowind) just add an additional zone, so in that regard you're looking at having access to 20/25ths of the game's content in terms of locations and quests.

Of course, those 5 new zones are easily the most exciting. But that's not to say that there isn't a shitload of stuff to do otherwise.

My recommendation to anyone would be to pick up the base edition and give it a shake. Crowns go on sale a couple times a year so the next time that happens (probably winter sale) it should be about $24 to upgrade to the gold edition if you'd like to have access to most of the additional content. Morrowind upgrades should be pretty cheap then too if that's your jam.

I'm getting my ass kicked in KI Shadow Lords mode. I don't like that boosts are "consumable", I'm barely betting easy bots without them, and booster packs prices are too high. On the other side, you can restart mode any time and all your stuff will stay in new run, and i love that XCOM-like geoscape with missions select around the world, also those small text quests before fights are nice too. I guess i'll stick with regular story mode and solo battles until i'll learn characters and how to do ultracombo and other combobreakers whatever

Sounds good. Don't plan on pausing my Humble Monthly for this month, so I'll end up with the base game at least. If I try it and like it, then upgrading during the winter sale would be an option.

Still been playing WoW though, however I'm kind of burnt out on it at the moment - might take a break until near the next expansion in the nearish future. Raiding is fine, but I'm finding myself having zero interest in doing any of the daily "chores" anymore.

Also been interested in getting back into EVE Online a bit perhaps.

Hmmm.

You're not really limited, but you would want some of the DLCs if you were to get really deep into the game (BiS gearing deep).

The DLC's add new zones for the most part, so you just cannot go to them or obtain the items that are only available there. Some of the items you can only get from DLC areas are good, and in one case can be build-defining.

Orsinium - Really big new zone of story content, and an arena mode that rewards extremely powerful weapons. Some mediocre sets and crafting motifs.* 20+ hours.

Thieve's Guild - Stealth missions to steal things, a small new area with a medium amount of story content. Daily stealth/delve missions, quite nice crating motifs. 10~ hours story/delves.

Dark Brotherhood - Assassination missions, assassination skill (can press a button when stealthed behind units to instakill small enemies). A small new area with a medium amount of story content. Daily assassination/world boss missions, very similar to Thieve's Guild system-wise. 10~ hours story/delves.

Imperial City - Adds small story content, an open PvP area. Basically a small ruined city area with a ground level and sewer system to travel between sections of the city. You can run into other players friendly or not. The goal in the entire DLC is to farm monsters in the area without dying. You gain currency and the longer you stay out the more you get to bring back to the vendor who sells things (some unique to the DLC) for the currency. You lose a lot of it when you die.

Shadows of the Hist and Horns of the Reach, two 4-man party dungeons each. Complete with their own drops. There are also daily dungeon quests that can possibly be inside these dungeons, and if you do not own them you cannot do that daily that day. Some gearing limitations in other more complicated ways, but do not impact people that aren't trying to best-in-slot.

*crafting motifs allow you to create craftable gear in different cosmetic styles. The stats are always the same but the motif determines the visuals. Each DLC has a few motifs that you can do dailies there to get.

Some DLCs have a skill tree unlocked by purchasing them, but they are leveled by doing actions in the DLC like dailies and the skills they unlock are mostly only useful in the DLC. There are small exceptions, like smaller detection radius on enemies while you are mounted in the Dark Brotherhood tree.

It should be mentioned that the $15/month subscription gives access to all DLCs (and the crafting bag, which solves all bag space issues).

Anyone received a key from cdkeys.com for the pre-order of The Evil Within 2?

Man, withdrawal sucks (quit my anxiety med cold turkey). Zings/shocks in brain everytime I turn my eyeballs. Can't enjoy/play games like that. The zings/shocks even happen in my dreams (REM).

Failing that, if anyone wants Wargame: Red Dragon or Scanner Sombre reply to this post and I'll pm the gift link
