Apparently Tom Lee said it was based on the PS4 version on one of the tournaments but if so why they don't post info about it?

I've seen the state Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires is in. I can imagine how DoA will look like.
Hmmm DOA5 isnt that much different from PS3 to PS4. Its literally a resolution bump,new soft engine and added particles. Resolution always was 30fps on entrances and win/lose poses.
What the PS4/XBO version has new is the soft skin, 2 new stages and hairstyles. So there is not really too much to butcher.

More like he just flagged us for terrible stuttering, vsync screen tearing and random CTD's.
Also Team Ninja is the developer and not Omega Force with the one for Dynasty Warrior games. Tecmo Koei is the publisher but these are different teams so just because its Tecmo Koei publishing it does not automatically mean it will be the same result as DW.
At least PC version you should be able to force AA which is lacking on consoles.

There is no AA at all? There were early jaggy screenshots but I thought they said they haven't added AA "yet".

I don't think that Team Ninja got more love for us than Tecmo Koei as a whole. They don't give a shit abot you.
It's not like it's ambigous. The delays, the lack of online play at launch, the missing things and the warning to the modders. They hate you. Hate you since you're born. Despise every time you touch your keyboard, everytime you launch steam. The millions of steam and general pc gamers - nothing but vermin.

Well, people still buy Ubisoft's and EA's games in droves, so I don't really see how such a behavior could hinder Tecmo Koei. :\
EA/Ubi's audience is far broader than DOA's. Not saying it changes much, though.

Dynasty Warriors 8 XL at least had my native resolution and knew what to do with the Xbox 360 controller.
