I beat the game around level 40, I think what gear, classes and skills you have matters a lot.

Mind you, the game makes it near-impossible for another class to catch up. So that's another few hundred days of grinding if you want to try a different class.

First time. Yeah, I noticed another passage, but I thought I will take him right now. Right now no more enemies spawn on the way to the boss because I killed them too many times. That makes it easy to run to the boss and try my luck.

Ahh, he's definitely do-able on that first go. I think I did, but I put points into getting my health pool up pretty early, which is good against Smelter.

That's the main thing about him. Once that AOE starts, it's a pain in the ass. Try to save as many healing items and charges for when that part starts.

Basically, my awful advice is "don't get hit in the first round and then don't get greedy in the other phases." It's really easy to fall into the trap of trying to get that extra poke on him and then dying to AoE or a one-shot swipe.

I remember spamming consumables at the end to try to and just get any damage on him from a distance because I was out of healing items. It's a rewarding win when you do get him down.

Played a little bit of Berseria, and i'm really liking it so far - i'm taking my time to familiarize myself with all the mechanics. I can already feel that it's going to take me quite a bit of time to finish, since i'm pretty much going for a 100% game completion with any games i really like (which is also the reason why i sometimes get burned out on games, and put them aside to play at a later date )
My only fear is that i might not be able to finish it by the 7th of february.

For a game this good to be relegated to the scrap-heap when the PS4 dies is bordering on actually criminal. Is it still port-begging if you own the system and games, but want a title on PC due to its immortality as a platform? Asking for a friend.

Best hold out hope somebody implements a PS4 virtualizer.

It's well made game, I don't like FPS games in general but I enjoyed Doom on Hard. Same with UC4, I think both games are better with little challenge.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire might reach its goal on the first day. It's at 927,615/1,100,000 at the moment.

Yeah, that's an encouraging number so far. I happily dropped $45 yesterday.

Hearing rumblings about a PoE2 announcement has had me itching to dive back into the original. I've got an absurd number of hours invested, but never finished the campaign. Wasn't sure how it would go with story and combat after so many months off, but to my surprise and delight, I picked it right back up last night after only minimal re-acclimation.

Man, PoE is so golden. I'm really glad I dove back in. Having an absolute blast with my revisit.

Yeah, more publishers should do what Acti now does with CoD (though not Modern Warfare Remastered for some reason) and split different the modes across separate DLC apps that players can opt out of.

I would always practice by putting my summon down until I learned the boss, but that might not be possible this late into the game's life.

That's a cheaper proposition since it's mainly art assets. I'd imagine the real reason is Bethesda thought Doom wouldn't be this successfully received.

Nights of Azure is mostly a brain dead action game. Lots of easy enemies you just button mash at, and the "levels" are more like musou games, just large featureless areas with spawning enemies and objectives to run toward.

Just read the latest Tokyo Dark KS update and the way they decided to go for the first play-through and subsequent ones through NG+ feels pretty good to me

The first time you play Tokyo Dark every decision you make truly matters as you'll only have one hidden 'save slot' available, which is automatically saved over after every choice or SPIN attribute change. You won't be able to save before a difficult decision and retry if you don't like the outcome. Your only choice is to continue forward to see where the story takes you – or restart the game entirely.

This design choice is made to match the mechanics and game's theme; Decisions have serious consequences.

[Deja vu] NG+ changes this and allows access to multiple [Broken Memories] - Save scumming friendly slots that can be reloaded. This will make unlocking all TD's endings much less time consuming via NG+.

NG+ also features a skill that allows players to skip forward through conversations and cut scenes, via [Black Outs]. These will save you time re-reading through content and watching scenes you have seen before, but constantly blacking out may have its own consequences...

NG+ offers an option to see a SPIN icon on screen when content is changing due to your SPIN attributes. As this feature is directly related to unlocking all endings / a specific ending / achievement hunting, etc. rather than simply experiencing the main story, this option will only be available in NG+.

I really wish there was a way to turn off Humble's pleading for me to sub to their mystery box. Yes, $10 or so for X-com 2 is a deal. No, I don't want to sub or even pay the $10 for X-com 2 in addition to your mystery box. Have Fireaxis put it at that price on Steam or in your store, and I'd bite.
