Finished Lifeless Planet and it stays boring 'til the end, took me less than 4hrs which felt much longer. Some complained about the jumping sections but I could've used more of those. Or actual puzzles, picking up some glowing thing and bringing it over to some machine isn't very fun the first time. The fifth? Ugh. The story might've worked but the logs aren't written good enough and too far between so in the end I didn't really care what happened (not that anything really 'happened' anyway). 4.5/10

This is a time when SteamGAF can get together to play CS:GO. We will be playing casual matches, players from all skill levels are welcome!
When we are playing: Estimate Time
What we are playing:
We are playing public matches through the casual matchmaking system. Due to the limitations of the party system there are only 10 spots available in the party. After the party is full, we will be placed in a public server where anyone can join the game.
How to join us:
At the designated time I will make another post here announcing that we are starting. Add me as a friend on steam and through the main menu join the same game that I am in at that time.
In the future:
If we have enough consistent players, we may consider setting up or renting a server for drop in drop out gaf matches.

I'd gladly replay half-life this way. Game seemed always immersive to me anyway.
It also shows that great animation can make a game look extremely better even without many polys or post-processing.

Played a little more of Always Sometimes Monsters, this game is just weird.
The story at least feels like it's picking up some more, and has some more interesting characters put in the mix, but my god the devs had some fascination with extremely shitty minigames. Let's be a factory worker for the day move boxes from left to right! -_-
Now I'm somehow doing hacking (cos why the hell not) and the hacking minigame is just a copy of frogger!
Also for a game that is apparently all about choice there doesn't seem to be much of it!

If the aim of the game is to make you feel bad about choices how about you make those situations actual choices, hmm?
EDIT: sorry, should clarify from the previous examples given. I've just noticed the current one I am on I can quit from (this didn't happen with the previous one) but then that's still not really a choice at that point as I was forced into it, it just becomes a penalty then for not completing the task.

No idea, I said fuck it and bought Rise of the Triad. Seems I'm not a refined enough gamer to appreciate the greatness of M&B, so I decided to just go blow shit up and splatter eyeballs around instead. Next time I try one of those fancy games I'll make sure to not pick up the controller and see if it works with it.
