Ah, crap, PES 2014 is back to full price. I thought I still had another week or so to buy it.

ok so How to Survive can get fucked.

Literally on the last quest, but fuck that. It's basically horde mode where enemies generally move faster than you do and you have no where to go. Awesome.

Might be deleting this before the end.

Ew.
Hate horde modes.
Hate unfair randomly unbalanced "hard" difficulty.

theres 5 new characters coming to Skullgirls besides Squiggly and Big Band? just saw it on the ps4/vita ad on the EVO stream

if so that rounds up the roster nicely

I put a couple of hours into The Fall a few days ago. Very neat little science fiction adventure game. Highly reminiscent of The Swapper in its foreboding tone and visual style, albeit a point-and-click with light shooter elements as opposed to a spatial puzzler.

Other differences are that The Fall's story is generally more at the forefront, with various interactions with other characters in contrast to The Swapper's more solitary experience, and the puzzles are more tightly integrated into the storyline relative to Swapper's more discrete puzzle rooms. But as a whole they both strike a very similar moody and thoughtful sci-fi chord, and any fan of science fiction with a philosophical bent would do well to check them out.

Awesome, I've been wanting to check it out. What's the combat like? It looks similar to Out of This World and Flashback from the trailers.

I've been crushing it so far with this badass bow and boomerang and now I need to basically change my entire play style for the last quest. Literally at the end and I have no desire to continue. I can't even turn down the difficulty and cheese it

This game was a thumbs up before this. Now? I don't think so.

I give up on TF2 outpost can't search anything..always says 0.

Did you make sure to change the search from Team Fortress 2 to Steam Inventory in the Side Bar? Or are you just not finding the games available in any trades after you already select what you are searching for?

That would be neat. Although Squiggly + Big Band, and the remaining 3 characters would make 5, wouldn't it?

i didnt see big band in the portraits, but I dont know skullgirls portraits that well. Squiggly might have been there

edit: I was wrong it seems, cheers Nabs

I could've sworn someone here (I want to say JaseC, but don't quote me on that) said they had updated the Director's Cut to a later build of the engine. If I'm not misremembering, that would go a long way toward making the DC the definitive version it was meant to be.

Squeenix finally pushed through a mammoth patch that was in the works for almost a year, but I don't know if the engine were updated as part of the introduction of Mac support.

So guys, is a dualcore just not enough to squeeze out 60 FPS out of RE4HD or something?

Edit: Also are you supposed to opt out of the Beta by now?

Kind of similar to those, yeah, but expanded a bit. The shooting is fairly basic but it controls well and I think its attempt to break up the pacing a bit - which is its primary function - works well enough. There's a very rudimentary cover system and you're also able to hide by going invisible, and it all takes place on a 2D plane with vertical targeting - headshots are a one-hit kill.

Yeah, the beta is actually an older build at this point.

Okay, thanks :). They should try to make that a bit clearer. Can't find patch notes anywhere.

Found that lowering the AF and removing the in game AA completely should fix the framerate issues too. I'ma give that a shot. I need my RE4 achievements

Just finished playing through Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, which I picked up in the most recent Steam sale. Played through it on Normal, took me roughly 9 hours to complete. For 5$ I'm not going to complain, the main campaign in Enslaved was enjoyable enough to play through from start to finish, although the ending was pretty terrible and since I didn't particularly care for Pigsy I dunno how much of the DLC, Pigsy's Top 10, I'll bother to play through. The gameplay in the DLC is a bit different, Pigsy has to rely more on stealth, gadgets and putting distance between himself and the mechs in order to snipe them safely but Pigsy's Top 10 is also kind of boring and ridiculous. Pigsy is trying to build a new best friend.

Enslaved sort of reminds me of a PS2 era action-adventure game, like Primal. The world and characters are somewhat interesting, while the gameplay is passable. It doesn't do anything exceedingly well, nor does it do anything objectively terrible. It sort of is a game long escort mission and at no real point did Trip feel annoying or like a burden. If Enslaved did anything interesting I guess it was the interaction between Trip and Monkey to traverse through the environments and working your way past or to enemy encounters. The combat is simple but satisfying, there are unlockables for Monkey's abilities but the combat never really gains any great complexity. Enslaved is pretty much an auto-platformer (hyper linear path with highlighted points of interaction), so if you're sick of platformers like this, you probably won't dig Enslaved. The interaction between Trip and Monkey is pretty simple and limited (4 actions handled by the Left Bumper) but it was also very buggy when trying to complete certain puzzles that required Monkey requesting Trip complete a specific action. I got stuck at 3 points in the game where I had to reset back to a checkpoint so I could complete a puzzle, that was pretty damned annoying.

I'd say Enslaved worth picking up for 5-10$. It's a decent weekend distraction. Definitely feels like a one and done experience to me, don't think I'll bother to replay it.

My PC just crashed while playing CSGO with GAF. :( How do I find out what happened? I think it might have been because I didn't set a framerate cap on CSGO.
