Not going to make a difference I'd imagine as Steam still saves shitty compressed jpg's which get uploaded. Embrace the flickr!

I used to be a bit of a nutbag about the steam screenshots, I would replace the compressed shots with less compressed shots before uploading. But eventually laziness got the better of me and I stopped.

Yes, if you live in A-merry-car (CA/US/MX).

There's a US-specific app and another for the rest of the world. The former is no longer available, though, despite it still having a store page.

Less compression artifacts, dunno how to explain, I can clearly see those more in the first. And yeah I changed the mouth to smile a bit more. It's "Black Rock Shooter".

Well, there's that too, but I feel like the game punishes you harshly for not sneaking through a level. Basically, you get caught, an officer all the way at the end of the level starts an alarm and now you've gotta fight your way through a bajillion shotgun guys that take forever to kill.

Then you get to the end and the officer is like "wha, huh?" and stands there while you stab him in the face.

I dunno, the gameplay/gunplay doesn't feel as tight to me as The New Order did. I actually liked the story of The New Order as well, and some interaction with other characters is sorely missed in The Old Blood, in my opinion.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, The Old Blood is still pretty good as far as single-player FPS campaigns go, but given how good The New Order was I was expecting something more than I got. (Maybe the last half is significantly better than the first and I'm jumping the gun on my semi-negative take?)

The real shame is that James Silva and Ska games never followed through with the PC port of Dishwasher Samurai: Vampire Smile that was promised well over a year ago now...

Yeah i used to do the same but it's a massive pain in the arse, especially when most wont notice much difference.

What I don't get is that Steamcloud offers you a set amount of space and not quantity for your screens so why not give the user the option to upload the png versions over the jpg ones. There's not much in it size wise at 1920x1080, like about 2 to 3 times the size and if you're running low on space you can obviously delete older stuff.

Speaking of flickr though it would be a piece of cake to setup a SteamGAF group and get everyone to submit their screens there as a group album. Thoughts anyone?

Maybe if you stare really closely. But I'd say the average person just glancing at the two images could not tell the difference.

Before is about 80%, after is about 90% on both chroma and luma. It's a decent bump in quality.

has anyone here (in SteamGAF) worked in QA before? - how was your general experience like?

It varies. For smaller companies or teams, it can be lots of fun and a positive experience, especially seeing your specific feedback affect the game, but bigger companies like Ubisoft and such?... Not fun in the slightest, just like their games.

Yep the first took me 40hrs the 2nd 30hr and the 3rd was about 35hrs before I got fed up and finished it off. Why the Origin version per chance? It actually easier to install any of the DLC's if you have them than the Steam version by the way as they're accessible in the Origin client now and don't need separate installers.

Edit: Ooooooohhh you mean ME3. It's not that bad, multi is surprisingly good too.

It was definitely made with coop in mind. I played it as such and had fun. When I went to do solo, I lost interest pretty quick.
