Anyone been following Black Desert online? How close is that MMO to a western release.

The character customizer grabs your attention, but the combat looks like the real draw.

Unless something's changed, the game is supposed to come out sometime in 2016 and it will be published by Daum.

Groupees' notifications system is really nice. It's a shame that Indie Gala doesn't have such a thing implemented.

Very boring.

I worked with Software QA. Telling developers they did something wrong has it's fun.

...But now I'm in development and the QA piss me off when they tell me I did something wrong.

:/ seems like the general sentiment - is there any format to it at all though? or do the testers themselves just generally send in anything they spot/feel?

I wonder how the beta-testing via Steam works

I like it, but I wish there was a way to filter it so it was just for Steam keys. I don't really need three separate notifications telling me the Windows, Mac and Linux builds for a game have been updated.

What's wrong with VLC? Seems the most versatile, but I haven't really looked for other alternatives.

Yay new LiS episode soon!

VLC has problems with rendering. Sometimes it will look like the "worm" effect, happened to me a massive amount of times during EVO.

Currently, the best palyers are MPC-HC and MPV.

There's nothing in the notifications itself, but it's easy to find unredeemed Steam keys just by navigating to the "Games" tab in the Purchases section and checking the "Unused Steam keys" box.

I don't mind the "most current build" notifications myself.

Thanks for this, I somehow missed the notification for vampire of the sands. I need to pay more attention!

#teamVLC represent!

I tried MPC-something the last time it came up here, but the amount of effort needed was totally overkill for my lazy use of VLC as a plug'n'play player I use to watch stuff with my ass sunk in a couch too far from the TV to notice any difference.

EDIT: also I have this comfy app on my phone to remote control VLC with a slick material design and all that stuff, and I couldn't find anything similar for MPC.

MPC-HC already has a massive amount of codecs built-in already. So I don't see the overkill.

Or you could just install CCCP or KCP.

aren't we seperated by alliances?

i'm not sure how it works

TESO players are split by alliance into 3 groups, the Daggerfall, the Aldmeri, and the Covenant.

If you get the Explorer's pack upgrade you can be in any alliance with any race.

If you are going to make a group to play TESO together it's probably a good idea for everyone to get the Explorer's Pack (or the Imperial edition) so that everyone can choose the race they want and still play in the same faction.

Depends on the company I guess.

We had guidelines and checklists to go through.
If it didn't pass the checklist & guideline, we made a list of required changes and sent it back to the dev. Once fixed, we ran the guidelines & checklists again.

I just wanted to remind that Crazy Plant Shop isn't exactly what it looks, oh it is a shop sim but also it's genetics the game, simple one, true, but I liked it, don't get rid of it in haste, try it. I kinda wish devs are so successful that they make larger or more complex genetics the game.

That's why I can't wait for Mewgenics

Whatever happened to that other Super Meat Boy game actually =/

Super Meat Boy: Forever? I dunno how I feel about an endless platform. Still in production, though.

They're currently porting the original to PS4 and Vita, so I wonder if maybe they gave up on the second and just decided to give everyone access to the first.

Win 10 can't come soon enough. I'm tired of 7, and I never touched 8.1.

Hopefully my Steam library will have no problemo.

I've been running Windows 10 for a few weeks now, and haven't had a single game I've tried not work. I've by no means tried every game I have on Steam, but so far everyone I've played has worked flawlessly without issue.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
my porn runs great through VLC.

More typical PC master race elitism.

I prefer having physical media that I put into my dedicated DVD player of which I buy one -- and only one -- brand of.

Now excuse me while I unironically shit on people who prefer laserdiscs.

I've read that some games that had problems on W8 even work better now. I wonder if I'll finally be able to play Serious Sam Random Encounter.

I converted all my close friends to PC gaming. To be fair it's actually not that difficult, hate paying for online? Don't like expensive games? Tired of low resolution?

It actually ended up being a massive swing, as I converted my close friends, then they converted their friends. All of a sudden you have 30-40 people in mumble.

Same with me, I built my PC, convinced my brothers to do it, then friends from work and then in about a year 10-15 people I know have newly built PC's.
