Still selling like hot-cakes (#1 and #4 in EU2), why should WB care about some entitled crybabies?

Also, it'd be amazing if that Playfire $0.08 reward was for 2.1 hours played. So, so amazing!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
So what's going on with Arkham Knight anyway? I've heard that it's pretty much broken on PC but I haven't heard anything specific about that.

People are having crazy performance issues, and it locked to 30fps. It's also got Denuvo DRM which could be the cause. People with i7 / GTX 970s are barely able to maintain 30fps which is pretty insane.

Yep. Too much hype is really harmful I think.

Just noticed. How come you're a junior? o_O

I'm assuming for this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1058543

It is? Awesome :D

A shame that Mighty No 9 ain't doing that as well. They could possibly have something very close to the mock-up screenshot :(

To be clear, they haven't said anything about licensing the technology used in GG Xrd, to my knowledge. They listed it as an example of a game that can still look 2D with 3D character models when explaining why they chose 2.5D. It's clearly the type of effect they are going for, but with so little information about the game at this point, it's impossible to know how successful they will be.

Edit: From the Kickstarter page:
However, we would NEVER discount the fans' love for that classic style. The development team is looking forward to working with backers every step of the way to decide on custom shaders that will give the game a distinctive, hand-crafted look, so there are no surprises. Games like Guilty Gear and Strider are proof that 2.5D can be handled in a way that honors a classic aesthetic while allowing for new possibilities; that’s what IGA hopes to achieve with this project.

I got my PS4 copy of Batman two hours ago on the down-low, an hour before the official midnight release, only to get home and discover about 10GB of updates and downloads.

On Australian internet.

Time save lost.

Weird. I got i5/970 and it runs at stable 30 fps, no matter if on the ground or in the car. Could it be something different entirely? Or am I just lucky that the memory leak didn't trigger?

where did you read that it uses Denuvo? is it confirmed or just rumors?

After some digging, apparently Nekopara use E-mote. Not quite 3D render, but quite convincing. It use modular 2D images to form the whole images.

I absolutely love 3D NP(non-photo real) rendering, if 3D model can already rendered like that Nekopara shot, well, the age of waifu is imminent. World of Waifu, when?

Now I kinda regret it not getting Nekopara during Sale.

Some piracy group mentioned as much, IIRC. It would also explain why the game hasn't leaked despite being released worldwide half a day ago (sans Japan and South Korea, and Europe in general as it got the game a little earlier).

i see, thanks
well that sucks then... =\

It definitely sucks when consumers aren't informed beforehand about the type of DRM that's included. It's not listed anywhere on the store page either, so they're definitely trying to keep quiet about it.

The Witcher also had the benefit of coming from a PC centric dev with a long history of supporting their games well after launch, unlike the Batman games which have been pretty hit or miss.

I really don't understand the devs then, why even bother using it? it was already broken on DA:I and the whole Denuvo crap was based on being unbreakable

Why can't M2 bring their awesome emulators to PC?
Who needs waifus when we all could be getting Super Hang-On, Outrun or Galaxy Force?!

Arkham Knight actually look decent when you're in-door. Away from the rain...

I'm just going to make a public announcement in Gotham that all villains should come fight me in the GCPD parking lots.. it's nicer down here.

btw how low does the percentage has to go for a game to go from Mostly Negative to Negative?

Congrats Shadow, you're the most helpful review for Arkham Knight with 3,131 of 3,387 finding it helpful.

95 - 99% : Overhwelmingly Positive
94 - 80% : Very Positive
80 - 99% + few reviews: Positive
70 - 79% : Mostly Positive
40 - 69% : Mixed
20? - 39% : Mostly Negative
0 - 39% + rew reviews: Negative
0 - 19% : Very Negative
0 - 19% + many reviews: Overwhelmingly Negative

I do really like some of the transitions that AK does, like going indoors from the outdoors and there being 0 load screens when that happens. Or whenever the scarecrow visions kick in and the environment keeps shifting. I can't imagine that either effect is easily done.

We must go lower then.

Now I'm actually interested to boot it up and see how low the fps goes for Team Red.

Wow, I was tempted with that 40% GMG deal but I am going to hold off until I know things are resolved. If the performance issues are truly related to the type of DRM they are using its unfortunate that the devs or publisher feel this is necessary. Its like a few bad apples spoiling the bunch. People who clearly paid for the game are not getting a good experience because some people just like to see the world burn. Hopefully they figure out the issue or just remove this DRM entirely. I prefer gaming on my PC but stuff like this is disheartening at best.

Hmm, I actually have one copy on my inventory for GA on my community in July.
Must. Not. Redeem.

I saw it on M2 website, it is official M2 product. Might take a look when it goes on sale again.

I guess it depends on the IP holder. I wonder why M2 don't give dotEmu a run of their money. Perhaps dotEmu is cheaper...

Nowadays you have more claim to being a prophet if you correctly predict that a AAA title won't be a clusterfuck on release. :(

That's awkward. I don't think of "Mostly Negative" as "There are more Negative than Positive"
