I hope Hollow Knight has a good discount during the Steam Sale, the only game I really want to get during the sale.
I'm hoping for the same, though if I'm honest, not expecting it.

You need Windows 10 for gaming? I still have Windows 7...what requires Windows 10?

i kinda want to try that too but i also dread the idea of playing an mmorpg ever againI'm dying to try Black Desert too but I wouldn't know where to start. The last Korean MMO I played is Blade and Soul. I also played the first few months of Legion's launch.
If it goes on sale tomorrow I might give it a try
Today is the day of sales right?
I needed it for Quantum Break before it came to Steam. It's still technically the only way to play some newer games coming out on PC- Gears, Halo Wars 2, etc.
I'm not interested in rolling back to Windows 7. I'm sick of the entire OS line.
Only UWP garbage. Thankfully no one has used that exclusively on their games other than MS and Vulkan seems to be having a much bigger adoption.
Only the best racing game of this gen Forza Horizon 3.
well....in 15 hours
which is tomorrow if you live in America
In 15 hours? I thought it will happen in few minutes. XD.

I'm gonna try so hard not to buy shit this sale.
It's so weird being on the other side. Hoping people buy your shit.
I usually post in this thread during the sale.
How long does the sale usually run? 2 weeks?
week and a half / 10 days...ish. It ends a week from sunday basically.
I'm working on some pretty big wishlist updates for Enhanced Steam though they won't be out before the sale starts (and probably not before the sale ends, either!). One of the big things I'm updating is the ability to assign games on your wishlist to a self-defined category and the ability to sort by / filter individual wishlist categories (think: Amazon's multiple wishlist feature). I'm also working on pulling in tag data so that users can sort their wishlists by tags / genres.
Mine is kinda the same way (a hot mess mismatch of different things) - it's pretty small but it's mostly stuff that's PC only and typically >$30 so hopefully most of it will go on sale and be pretty reasonable.

It still baffles me how barebones the wishlist is on Steam considering how much data Valve has for each game and how empowering users with this data usually leads to a higher click-through and purchase rate.
Alright.
Stop posting anime
it's really cool that there are no daily sales or anything, tomorrow it'll all be out in the open for us to choose
such a better system
It took all the gusto of the sales for me. They took out the dailies and flash sales so everything remains at a standard sales price instead of getting a bigger cut.it's really cool that there are no daily sales or anything, tomorrow it'll all be out in the open for us to choose

it's definitely less "fun", but i don't think being chained to checking stream every 6 hours or waiting for two weeks to actually buy anything was that fun to begin with lolIt took all the gusto of the sales for me. It's a loss of option ultimately. You don't have to be chained and fervently check every rotation, you could just opt for the regular sales price if you want -- which is the only choice we have now, or be more savvy about it and get an even better price.it's definitely less "fun", but i don't think being chained to checking stream every 6 hours or waiting for two weeks to actually buy anything was that fun to begin with lol
this is much better
anyone have info about these mystery cards? should i start crafting to get a head start?
flash sales were the same as dailies and discounts haven't really gotten worse, so i don't see ppl actually losing anythingIt's a loss of option ultimately. Very very very low to none possibly since it officially came out only two days ago. At best you will get a discount on realm reborn and heavensward with an advertisement screaming "hey, this new thing called stormblood is out, check it out".So... how possible is it that stormblood might be part of the sale ?:x

Suuuuuure.
Yeah, the thing is, I can't buy games even if I wanted to because there's no coin on my budget for video games at the moment. So it's not even about showing restraint. I just don't have anything to spend on.it's weird how some people don't throw their moneyzzz on every sale, right? i'm one of them.
the only thing i'd get is if there's a 75% for gta 5, dark souls 3 or dishonored 2. and since all those are pretty unlikely to get that steep, i'm definitely holding out.
can't think of many examples where i felt that way honestly. i'll believe you on the basis that i don't follow this stuff too closely since i don't have the will/need to but i haven't felt like i was buying less games or missing out on more stuff than beforeUh yes they have. I've been waiting on a bunch of games to go back to their historic lows, but most companies seem to have forgotten the times they used to put their games 75-90% off. Even 66% off is too much for some.
lies
its locked during the sale
So is Ass Creed Liberation a full experience compared to the other games or a cut down version? It's the only one I've never played.
yeah that's pretty coolDark Souls 3 random stuff
if you kill thenear the start, before the second boss (lady in the chairor whatever hes called), it actually triggers theVordtfight?dancer
fucking From, why you so cool? Also only a masochist would do that of course
