I've played those "VR demos that don't count" more than some of their actual games.

Good for you, because i can't stand VR stuff in any form - and this goes from person who developed apps and wrote master's thesis about VR. But yeah, this is just my personal opinion and i shouldn't wrote it like that, because i don't count CS:GO and Dota 2 as new Valve games too, they dead to me as devs after Portal 2.

Performance is fine for now, but i'll take a look at ReShade (heard a lot about it but never used it), because i still want to make image less monotone and blurry. Also, why default Steam icon for Nier is so low-res and why they didn't used icon with Akihiko Yoshida artwork from Nier installation folder? I changed it manually and it looks much better now.

Actually, as Coreda noted on the previous page, you don't need to worry about forcing AA externally provided you have the game's ambient occlusion option enabled as it also doubles as an option for post-process AA.

The icon is upscaled from 9p.

You thrust forward on the left analog. It is like Revengeance's parry except in that it was forward + attack, now just the analog movement does it.

Doing this causes me issues, the hud for button prompts gets messed up and the mouse cursor randomly appears in the middle of the screen. Went back to fullscreen since I couldn't find a way to fix this.

That's not what it reads like, either way you are mistaken about the port, but whatever I am not going to bother with this back and forth any more.

The hud issue is with the button prompts, they appear with keyboard prompts despite using the controller and then flicker like crazy between both versions when I press a button. I've seen others complain about this but didn't see a fix.

Can some Steam expert tell me how this is possible?

I had two keys to games I could not active in Germany, Ubersoldier 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops (Uncut). Because I don't trust all this VPN/Proxy stuff and I have a little knowledge of AWS, Amazon Web Services, I started myself a free Windows instance and installed Steam on it. I have a US IP on the server and I could activate Ubersoldier 2 now perfectly fine.

But with Black Ops, a strange thing is happening. Even though I have a US IP, Steam is telling me I cant activate it from Germany. But, it's a completely different message than in Germany:

Edit: Since I didn't actually answer your question earlier, the short version is that changing your password invalidates any and all login sessions, which may otherwise interfere with IP-related cross-checks.

I see, that makes sense. But I was very irritated that it worked for one game and not for the other. Apparently, Blops has some more restrictions to overcome.

It's funny, that the better "not working" message only appeared in this case and the shorter message is the regular one.

At first I suspected the Authenticator, because the app is running on my phone with a German IP. So I disabled that, but the issue stayed the same.

Somehow the USB connection on the Xbox one controller I use on my PC got busted so that it won't charge unless the cable is being forced down. I managed to get it charging by putting the edge of the keyboard on top of the connector but I can't play and charge at the same time. It's a cool blue navy special forces version so that sucks. I guess I should see if they have a battery charger like they did for the 360 so I don't have to just stop using it.
