If you have the Steam version and the GOG version, you can dump all the GOG files into your Steam folder and then everything becomes wonderful.

Yep, I just tried it to see if it would work, and it did. Downloaded the Steam version, then downloaded the GOG version, then just moved the Steam version out and dumped the entire GOG version in and renamed it to be the same as the Steam folder name. Hit "Play" in my Steam gamelist and it didn't miss a beat.
