Robert Bowling seems to be behind Gamepump. He started the Humble Monthly.
Built the monthly subscription service Humble Monthly and launched a dedicated publishing arm for it as the Head of Publishing focused on developing and launching subscriber exclusives. Obtained over 100,000 subscribers / $1.2 million a month in revenue within 5 months of launch.

Looks like he has already worked 9 months with Gamepump before announcing this new service. I might actually subscribe it. 20 dollars for 13 games isn't that much. Humble Monthly costs 12 dollars for 6-7 games, so it's not that much more expensive.

I finished the story missions in Far Cry Primal. Now to do the last two beast hunts and the bonfires/bases. I'm at 50% completion and 29 hours in game. So many gameplay options so pretty.
To whoever wanted an opinion on Primal for $15. Yup, totally fun.
Watch Doge 2 is like the anti Watch Doge. Takes itself extremely unseriously and has been very fun so far. The first two side missions I unlocked were to sell a "Wu Tang Clan" record to "Martin Shkreli" and to hack Ubisoft to leak their next game.
Also seems to maybe allow you to play nonlethal, but too early to tell. Definitely has way more non-lethal options, but still has available heavy firepower. Of course, regardless of how you try to be a pacifist, I'm guessing a lot of bystanders are going to be collateral damage, especially while driving.
Yeah, it seems that they marketed the game wrong (like SE usually do). I saw at least a couple gameplay footage before release, and they were showing the slow ass, default battle speed. I was totally unimpressed. Glad to be wrong though.
I honestly believe that the PC version had very little testing prior to release. Virtually all of its issues are rather minor, but they're things that shouldn't be present and would have easily been caught if the PC version were tested even just slightly more thoroughly.
So, in Xanadu Next I'm not really sure where to go next. I've
just beaten the boss on the ice mountain and I've been under the sea and beaten the boss there and I guess I have to use the arrow/bow on the huge eye down there? But feels like that place is towards the end and that I'm missing something?
Friend gave me Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition via an extra code they got from a bundle. I kinda avoided Character action games outside of demos for years since more or less DMC3 since I am pretty bad at them but, Ill make an honest attempt to beat this so maybe I can get into the groove of playing more of them.
Other news I wish Pocket Rumble's development was going faster but, I can't be greedy.
I just finished DMC Devil May Cry. A bit of a grind but got there in the end. I'm pretty average as well, I just stuck to a few basic moves over and over so I got poor style points! I took on the final boss by just spamming the shotgun thingy and rolling around like crazy! The developers would probably cry if they saw it.
I have subscried to Game Pump. Hopefully, I will be able to control my impulse Steam purchases next year, knowing that I am subscribed to both Humble Monthly and Game Pump. I have a list of about 10 games that I wish to purchase for next year, and I will try to stick with it.
Refunded Désiré. I played the first chapter and I really don't like the mood around the game.
A puzzle involving giving a pedo pornografy vhs to a priest? Your psychologist is a pedophile too? You need to grab a photo of your classmate jerking off? Your character, a 12 years old child, it's subject to a ransom because he had anal sex in the toilet of the school with a classmate? I mean, what the hell is this game? I can understand if you want to treat adult themes in your game, but proposing so much stuff in the first 10 minutes of the game? What the hell? And check the screens on the steam community hub, apparently the game even gets worse.
I expected a poetic point and click game, this is the description of the game:
Désiré is a poetic point-and-click adventure game in black and white.
When the schoolteacher asks Désiré why he didn't draw the sun like the other pupils, he replies spontaneously: « It's always night in my head. »
Désiré is colour-blind from birth and he will lead you into in world of black and white. He marches on hesitantly, as life never brought him much joy. From a tender age, he is going to meet several characters who will elicit in Désiré intense emotions and alter his vision in surprising ways. Is colour at the end of the road?
The game is, at its core, a critique of the modern world and of the perverting nature of a consumer, profit-obsessed society.
Not something like the one I found. I know Wok wrote there were dark themes, but I think they are really out of place and not treated like they should honestly, it's like the devs tossed at you all the bad things about mankind they could imagine at once.
Maybe I'll pick it up later in a bundle (I mean, it was already bundled a couple of times, so it's pretty much a safe bet saying I would end up with a spare anyway soon or later).
Is it worth Deponía: Complete Journey for 5,99? (I think it's the lowest price ever for the games). And is there another chapter besides the 3 included in the Complete Journey?

I think the only AAA games that have not had any serious issues at launch on PC recently that I can think of are Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1. Good thing I still have last year's AAA games left to play like AC:Syndicate and Far Cry Primal, just need them to get a big discount this Winter sale. Patient gamers end up winning.

A friend hated it for the same reasons: Basically, according to him, too much of sexuality for the sake of it.
From what I seen, the game isn't poetic, it just has a good artstyle. The dialogues seems to be really poorly written.

Honestly not even the art is that good in my opinion, just average. Background are really minimalistic, characters are better but nothing great. I'm ok if you face a theme in the right context, but when you put ton of stuff just for the sake of it...nah.
Plus yeah, dialogues are very poorly written, also characters with no background at all.
That FFXV Clueless Gamer thread should be preserved in stone so some of those posts never get changed, no wonder people think FF/JRPG nuts are insane lol.

I'm in the mood to immerse myself fully in a rpg game (been that sort of month) - anyone recommend something that isn't extremely expensive. I don't mind older games.
I thought I had skyrim, but it seems when I last played it it must have been through
torrents
. Looking at it now, there is no legendary edition now and the base + dlc sub is kind of expensive (knowing how low it gets during a sale).

Age of Decadence. Also, if you never played it before, Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition 1/2. Both should get pretty good discounts in the next sale if you care to wait a bit.

I am getting quite frequent calls from so called Indian "Security companies" telling that I have unwanted software installed on my computer.
Is there any way that I can do to get lesser calls from these scammers? One even called me by name, so somehow they got information about me...

I get calls from people who want to come to my home to clean my windows.
Unfortunately, you cannot do much. In France, we can easily report them using a website called BlocTel, but I guess even then, it is kind of pointless since it is very likely nothing is done afterwards.
