Yes. I didn't initiate the unpacking process for Alien but when I got up in the morning I noticed it was ready to play.
The only thing that redirects registry entries is a reinstallation, but I couldn't tell you the last time I tried to run something and encountered trouble because of an out-of-date registry entry.

Yeah, but allowrunin seems to be now mostly used on CD keys only. (Styx BR is a cd key package. Their package for the steam store version is the same as everybody else)

Then I'd be ignoring a lot of comments from people who have nothing better to do than to insult others on the internet. Again, that's just me, and the point I was making earlier was less of a criticism of his post and more of a suggestion as to how to handle it, so as to not promote that behavior by giving it what it wants: attention. If the EAT A DICK comments were bothering him before, the deluge of those comments he's going to get now after that post is going to further exacerbate that issue because now he has demonstrated that being shitty to him is working and that those posts are getting to him.
And that's fair. But all I'm suggesting is that, if that stuff bothers Jim, that he not vent in that manner on the web because it isn't going to help that problem. Vent with others, vent in a blog, I'm not sure, go for a run. Whatever it takes, really, but this is going to make matters worse for him. Like I said earlier, reply professionally and as an adult if you must, be above the vitriol and the hatred, and get it off your chest that way IF you have to vent on the web.
TLDR: don't feed the troll, because it's not going to go away if you do.

Sterling is just expressing what he views as a proper community response. I think engaging the nastier aspects of video game consumerism is a laudable goal; screw anyone who says to just deal with it. Sterling's got the platform and the intelligence to accomplish it.

On a happier note, Amazing Frog? has been greenlit.
It's a weird physical-motion 3D platformer with co-op, gear, and plenty of modes. Goat Simulator is a poor clone that doesn't do the concept justice. There's something satisfying about Frog that I've never experienced elsewhere; it's almost a mix of Super Mario 64 and Tony Hawk.
The game is incredibly fun on Ouya. My friend bought the console for the game and we've put far too many hours into the thing. Free-form, deathmatch, lots of odd minigames to play. Hope the Steam release comes fast.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'm actually working on a "trashbot" of my own for Enhanced Steam. Basically, it will add a "Delete" button to coupons, and clicking it will automatically initiate a trade offer to the trash can which will, in turn, be automatically accepted.

Well they might have only seen the remake. Which I haven't seen so don't know if those couple of lines like 'You really want to save those crazy Swedes?' 'They're Norwegians Mac' are in there.
Yeah It's not too bad. It's a tad funky with the FOV I'm using as it fisheyes towards the edges sometimes but I have yet to face of against the Alien so will wait until then to see how it really comes into play. One thing of note I did stumble across though is because the game isn't really designed this way that the shadow maps sometimes will scale back whilst being visible on the outsides on the screen which wouldn't be visable at a 16:9 presentation. Doesn't bother me that much but it's just one of those little things I picked up

The whole Ubisoft comment on Ass Creed's FPS was pointless from the get-go. Anyone with a lick of common sense knows that there was no chance in hell of either platform playing the game at 60 fps.
Is there a debate for 30 fps games needing to be 60? Absolutely. Should this debate be ignited by a misguided and naive PR post for a game that at no point had any chance of being 60 fps from it's very inception? No. It's just aiming at low-hanging fruit that most normal posters would just ignore.

Yeah it's really dumb and I actually posted that exact thing earlier. Who in the hell expected this game to run 60FPS on consoles? Like I understand getting mad because Ubisoft said something really dumb that was not needed to be said at all, but lo and behold people are in there legit mad this game isn't 60FPS on consoles lol.

What makes me laugh about the whole ordeal is that they kind of explained themselves, albeit succinctly, with their previous statement to the press. "Technically we're CPU-bound" is what Pontbriand said so whether they want to send out a load of waffle or not that says everything I need to know. If they'd rather populate the game with 1,000's and 1,000's of AI and interacting systems which top out the console hardware great, that's their vision I'm cool with it but not the silly justifications that they decided to use. It sounds like damage limitation but aimed at completely the wrong crowd. The ones up in arms about the previous comments were not happy about technical specs and feeding the response they did was pouring petrol on a fire.
