Steam Summer Sales 2012 Thread 3: Sale is over, use this thread for "Look wat i bot"

Aaaand it's over :O

alianza pocitos, proficiency

I'd go to British but A) dont have the money B) not really interested in learning the UK's english
I'd rather have the Queen's English, but Alianza's level is really good. Prof level is pretty high... so that means cry :(

You are all gentlemen(and women) and scholars!
Farewell my friends!
I shall bury myself in my loot until the day comes for us to meet again on the field of battle.

What sucks is that nothing special happened, no free games or "a chance to win top 10 of your wishlist". :(

I'm glad it's over, I was tired of constantly looking at the Steam app.

I was disappointed a few games didn't go on daily/flash/community (Bully, Trackmania United, a few others), but I have tons of games to play and it will be lots of fun getting to them. I have Guild Wars 2 coming next month and I honestly see no need for any new purchases in 2012.

Final Score:
Trine 1
Trine 2
Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition
Half Life 2 Deathmatch
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Mirror's Edge
Dungeon Siege 1
Dungeon Siege 2
Dungeon Siege 3
Terraria
Bulletstorm
Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga
Blades Of Time Limited Edition
and at the last literal minute Bioshock 1 & 2

Bah, I had Broken Sword Trilogy in my cart and checked out to pay, got an error and it went back to it's regular price. Guess I'll wait again. =(

It was a fun 11 days, it was my first steam sale. Thanks to everyone for the tips/advice/etc. See you at the Winter Sale!

My damage: $45

Feeling good that I resisted the urge to buy some stuff at the last minute. Fallout 3: GOTY and Broken Sword caught my fancy, but I wouldn't end up actually playing that stuff. Chuffed to know that The Witcher, one title I did buy, is playable on Mac as well as PC. The most powerful computer I have available to me at home is a Mac, so maybe I will end up installing it on that. Too bad the download is 16 gigs (helloooo, voice acting for every language under the sun!).

I bought FO3, haven't started it yet but I hope I end up playing it too.

Dreamfall/The Longest Journey pack £3.74

Spent about twice as much as I intended to, the flash sales really did me in there, but other than that I'm reasonably happy with what I got.

Officially the cheapest that I've ever escaped a Steam sale. 1200 dollars in auto repairs made me uncharacteristically frugal.

Thanks again to Eschaton for E.Y.E.

Didn’t buy anything the entire Steam sale until the last 13 minutes when I bought the Saints Row 3 Franchise Pack for $13. Played it to death on 360 but it’s one of those games I think I could pick up and play whenever just for a half hour of fun or something so why not.

And I figured I'd only spend €20 at most. Guess this is what happens when you're a Steam Sale first timer.

Everybody underestimates how much they're going to spend on Steam Sales.

Except me: I always estimate around 100 bucks, but I always end up spending only 60-70 bucks. Been like that for the last 3 sales (since I started keeping tabs).

Just as Jade empire drop down to 3.75$ the minute the sale end, crazy. :P

From now on, I won't just check steam when there's those huge sale going on. It's definitively worth it to check it once a week or even daily. :]
