I do have a friend that might be able to play Borderlands 2 with me, but it seems like almost everyone else recommended Resident Evil 6 over it. Hmm... well, I still have 6 hours to think about it.

yea considering i live in argieland and importing anything is a bitch (specially if you're unemployed like myself) and there was never a legit ps2 market to even ask around for a ps2 copy i'll just do the dishonorable thing
it's not really a money thing but a time thing, i can't really play all that many games so if i'm gonna use my time for one game it's gotta be the ones i'm more interested in.
hopefully some day these things will get ported to pc and i'll be able to buy my humanity back

I liked the idea of Remember Me, and altering memories was really fun (the few times you get to do it). The combat almost ruined that game for me. Yes, I get it's combo based and you can chain them together and do crazy things, but I felt like you are constantly on the defensive. In the beginning it isn't so bad, but then eventually you are fighting groups of almost ten enemies at a time. During those times I felt like all I was doing was dodging and doing very little attacking.
And what makes it more frustrating? You hit a point where you fight enemies that damage you when you hit them. Sure, you can put attacks in your combos that heal you, but they do way less damage, so you feel like you are pecking them to death.
I did end up playing through the whole thing, and while they had some really interesting ideas, I think the combat scenarios could have been worked on a bit more.

I can't vouch for them personally, but I've heard nothing but good things about Freespace 1 and 2. Someone a bit more in the know should be able to recommend some good mods for them too.

I would have greatly preferred an entire Remember Me with no combat and instead more memory rearrangement. Closer to adventure or puzzle game that happens to have platforming rather than action platformer with a neat twice-off puzzle.
Aye FreeSpace 2 is the one to get as it offers so much value entirely on it's own, as well as a very active and enthusiastic modding community still.

- There will be several ways to enter, you can either draw a picture (one catagory), do a dramatic reading or write a fanfiction (the ladder two being grouped together).
- The theme for the artwork will be pin-ups of your favorite video game characters. Hint: Mine is Mistral from Metal Gear. That or you can be creative and draw propaganda for the various teams of the Steam Sale.
- Yes, I am trying to get you to draw porn for me!
- But seriously if you do go for pin-ups, try to keep it appropriate for this site.
- As for the second category the only requirement is that the fan fictions need to be at least 500 words long, aside from that be creative as you want.
- Like last time please PM me when you post you submission, so I don't miss any. Apologizes for any that I missed last time.
- The deadline is until when ever the timer at the bottom of this post runs out.
- My sister will judge the artwork, while some other guy I know on Steam will judge the fanfics/dramatic readings.
- Sister might live stream the selection for the drawings here, though she's not sure yet.
- Will post who won sometime after the deadline and will gift you your prize through Steam.
