Man I'm torn on Bioshock 2 and I see 1 is dirt cheap too. My PC can run 1 on max but according to the specs I can't run 2 on high due to my graphics card.

And damn I need a steam friend so I can comment on their page. lol
Aw. Friend me.

I'm so lonely... *kicks dirt*

I am considering making todays "marketing push by Toma" about Magicka. Its a very, very, very good idea and def. worth the price for the base game.

Any input on the DLC? I'm considering either the complete game for myself, or a 4-pack to gift to friends. Will I get more value out of the DLC, or out of copies for my g/f and a couple friends to play?

Got Darksiders and downloading the demo for Football Manger. I don't think it'll be worth $10 to me, but I'll never know until I try it...

edit: anyone needing a steam friend to comment on can definitely add me, I'm gotee12 on steam as well...

Not too bad. Lots of stuff that a lot of people probably already but the prices are awesome if you don't. I picked up BF Vietnam, Garshap and Hoard.

I'm going to have to agree with JaseC here. That may seem like a nice discount on Fable III, but it's a terrible game. It's a tedious, clunky and unbearably shallow mess of a game.

How you played Super Meat Boy? Hell is practically a joke about how many times Meat Boy dies.
What? :D

I actually was talking about the Sale artwork, of course I played the game :p Everyone should have!

Darksiders is that good Zelda-like game, right?

Does it play well on PC? Looks like a controller friendly game, but what about mouse/keyboard?

How's Bioshock 2? I adored the first one, but I remember hearing some negative things about 2. I'm still considering it at $5

What is Hoard, is it a TD game?

Is Hoard any good? Is there single-player?

There is single player and it's not a TD game. It's a top down game where you collect gold to bring back to your base in a time limit while fending off various hazards.

It's fun - but would get old pretty fast. There's a demo if you're on the fence.

No, it's a really cool overhead resource game - basically you play a dragon that preys on a slowly building civilization. Supports MP too. Made by the lead designer behind Age of Empires DS.

Get Magicka. It's a shame that people think the game is trash. It's a lot of fun.....when it works. :)

Maybe thats why people think it's trash.

I bought it at launch and find it unplayable on my i7/gtx460 rig due to the stuttering.

It's also annoying when they release a patch and under known issues they still have the same ones from launch, mainly:

"-game appears to stutter even though framerate is fine"

I would love to play the game as it looks really interesting but it has been and continues to be one of the buggiest games of recent memory and the devs just keep releasing DLC ignoring some of the major issues.

Maybe because I prefer using a controller over a KB&M.

If I recall correctly, some parts of Bioshock were tailored to use the Keyboard and Mouse. They assumed that nobody would be crazy enough to use a gamepad when you could map everything to the keyboard and switch on the fly.

I'm thinking about Bioshock 2, but it's really hard to decide. I thought Bioshock 1 wrapped up a good story and finale to the Rapture saga, not sure if I wanna open up that book again incase I would become dissapointed. :<

No, not at all.

It's a top-down resource race. You fly a dragon around a map, watch its towns develop and look for juicy targets. There's a mode where it's just the one dragon, and several where you compete against other dragons. There are a lot of clever little touches - for example, you can kidnap a princess and take her to your little lair, and if you can keep her there long enough (every knight on the map will try to rescue her) you get a tidy profit for your trouble. And you can choose to spare towns, bringing them to their knees rather than razing them and forcing them to pay tribute.

I really like it. The bots are perfectly serviceable; I'm not a big multi guy so I can endorse this one as a SP game if that's your thing.

How does Darksiders control on keyboard and mouse? Do most recommend a gamepad?
I played through the entire (amazing) game with the kb/m and never once felt like it was bad. Some of the weapon switching may be a little confusing at first, but it's nothing you won't get used to after a couple of hours.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...

Which is indeed also the reason why I couldnt heartily recommend it. Too many people having problems. Even though its a great system.

haha, episode 2 is €1.74 in the european store, but $5.35 in the US.
It was €4.99, €4.something and €1.74, keeps changing constantly. €1.74 is the proper price, though ;d

Magicka is fun, but it is poorly optimized and the community is dead. But it has a solid single player game that's really challenging. Only get it if your computer is pretty good.

Magicka Vietnam is a campaign level that is great for the price. Some dlc levels are for the survival mode where you try to stay alive while fighting hordes of enemies. The other types of maps are for versus which I haven't tried. I would get all the dlc. It is an excellent game and a lot of fun. Also, some of the dlc is just hats and costumes, so it depends on what you're looking for. It helps to look different than the other wizards so you can tell where you are. BUY IT ALL!

Bioshock 2 has moderately better gameplay with a worse story. Take that for what you will.
