Are Prototype or Lost Planet 2 worth picking up?
LP2 is fantastic when you play it in co-op with people who know what they're doing. Maybe the best co-op TPS ever.

I think I'll bite on King's Bounty for 6€.

GAF I need recommendations for

1. Prototype: I liked the original Crackdown. Will I like this? That's about all the experience I have with sandbox games.

2. Farcry: How is the series? Are all of them good or should I stick with one in the series and ditch the rest?

3. Killing Floor + L4D2: These games seem very focused on coop. If I want to play by myself, and am also not a big fan of FPS games should I skip them?

Batman AA auto bought.

1. It's not really similar to Crackdown except that you are in a city with abnormal powers. The game is decent but I wouldn't get it for this price.

2. 1 is good and it still looks pretty good even by today's standards. 2 is... very "empty" and pretty boring to play. It has a huge world and it looks great, but it has so many problems that I can't be bothered with it anymore.

3. These games are 100 times better to play with others than by yourself. You might get some entertainment out of them, but they are not meant to be played on your own.

The Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition is a really good deal. Too bad they sabotage it by not allowing you to get a similar deal on the expansion packs. Most people already have GTA 4.

Prototype gets a lot of hate on GAF but I had fun with it. But honestly, with all the deals flying around your money might be better spent else where.

Far Cry 2 is a love it or hate it kind of game. It's almost worth getting just to see how beautiful it is.

Killing Floor and L4D2 are no brainers at that price. Buy them now.

People should really hold off on buying the STALKER bundle:

I think I'll pick up Jamestown. I already own King's Bounty: The Legend, but I'm not sure whether I own Armored Princess or not--that's what repeated Steam Sales have done to my mind. Everything else I already own or do not care about, today.

Someone tell me about Atom Zombie Smasher.
There's a demo. It's really fun and has a great visual style and sense of humor. you basically have a top down view of the city and the survivors and zombies are represented by different colored blips. You choose where to place artillery, infantry, etc. and a helipad to scoop up survivors. It feels like a more interesting and strategic version of The Last Guy to me. Certainly worth three bucks.

Hummm.... Jamestown US$ 5. Thinking in getting it, but Steam does not have day activities for it (I know, I got addicted to it too).

Looking also at Gothic 4. US$ 12.50 for it or US$ 18.50 for the pack with the four games. Should I?

Also, Lost Planet 2 was already lower than that in the last sale (US$ 17 I believe, the same for Dead Rising 2). What you are thinking, Capcom?

I feel like i'm in the TF2 thread... and if I had a job I would have taken you up on this.

BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
So has GTAIV been optimized for the PC yet?

How would my setup fare?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5600+ @ 2.9 GHz
ATI HD Radeon 4670 1GB
4 GB RAM

Left 4 Dead pack, Batman and possibly King's Bounty for me.

Kinda disappointed that The Sims 3 is still at the same package price that it has been since the start of the sales, but to be honest considering the price they are charging already it was foolish to expect any further drop. £30 for the bundle would have been the sweet spot, but at £50 I'll stick with The Sims 1.

Looks like it's Jamestown for me! Almost kinda sorta interested in Prototype, but not at 15 bucks. Yes, I'm cheap. Everything else that I'm interested in I've purchased in prior sales.

Batman would be a no-brainer at that price if I didn't already own it.

Wait wait wait, iCEnhancer doesn't work? Do all the other mods for GTAIV work with the Steam copy? What about things like "Better City Textures"?

Episodes from Liberty City. You got me, Steam! So far I've just been getting games from other sites and activating them on Steam (Fallout: NV and Civ 5. Both from.. what was it, Gamers Gate or something?)

I missed Bit.Trip Runner on the first day. Any chance of it going back to $2.50 on the last day recap?

If I'm not mistaken, recaps seem to be based on the top grossing games. Runner wouldn't even be close if that's the criteria.

1. Prototype i awesome, one of the few games that really make you feel powerful and being able to go anywhere easily. Not really worth $15/€10 imho though. Should be like €5/$5.

2. There are way better fps:s out there. The setting in 2 is nice but I felt that it dragged on for too long and just were a lot of the same. The first is like a not too pretty and very colourful crysis minus the suit.

3. Only played L4D2 and that is ok in single player if you just want to mow down a LOT of zombies. Probably a hoot in mp from what I've heard.
