Why is the Sims 3 bundle the same price it was yesterday or am I missing something here?

Just the individual products have received a discount. Earlier in the sale you could only purchase the bundle at a discount.

Gonna get King's Bounty - should I just get Armoured Princess or are the other two worth it as well?
I would buy the entire pack, $5 is incredibly cheap for what you are getting.

Slightly more expensive in the UK but I got the Platinum pack thing anyway.

Okay friends time for another day of Which deal should I buy?

Buy these games:

Gothic 3 Enhanced (it's 2.50, and the best version. The gold standard of Third Person RPGs)
Killing Floor (like L4D? This will tickle your fancy)
L4D2 (great if you have friends to play with)
King's Bounty (Armored Princess is the best by far, it's The Legend 2.0 so playing The Legend now that AP is out is a waste of time since it's basically the same game but without the improvements of AP)
GTA 4 (there's mods you can use to trim the fat out and improve the game. Don't get it if your computer is old. )
Batman: Arkham Asylum (It's the fucking best batman we've ever had. Combat owns, you feel like the motherfucking BATMAN all the time, you can explore around for goodies and while linear it still feels open. It's the best BUY IT RIGHT NOW!)

Mediocre, pass:
Sims 3 (while the best version of the sims out there, the game hasn't really evolved very far. For most, they're burned out on sims)
Prototype (I would recommend this if it was $8 or so, but not for $15. You get to do a bunch of wonton destruction but the game itself is very flat)
Far Cry 2 (the game simply doesn't have enough variation. for most, they find themselves completing one map and thinking they're near the end only to unlock the second, larger map and go NOPE.AVI)
Lost Planet 2 (while it improves on the first game, the current "deal" of $20 is not low enough to justify what fun you'll get out of it. Get it if you want more LP and some coop but its still a pretty shallow game)
Jamestown (It's a great little "bullet hell" shooter. I think you should get it if you're a fan of these games but I think most will want to pass on this since it's always been a niche genre)
Atom Zombie Smasher (A quirky little game where you try to capture a city from zombies and blow them up and stuff like that. Good if you want to play something during a lunch break or whatever)

Bad, avoid:
Arcania Gothic 4 (A very bad Gothic sequel, totally shames the series. You're better off buying Risen, it's simply a much better Gothic-type game)

Is there any reason to buy the Left 4 Dead bundle? I just want L4D2.

I think the characters in L4D1 are better. The settings are more serious and darker.
It's definitely worth getting for that price.

Sims 3 says is requires 2.4 gigahertz to play on Windows 7, while my laptop only has 2.1. I have the requirements for everything else, so do you think the GHz difference is a problem?

Going to pick up King's Bounty pack

I bought the Might and Magic when it was the daily deal and really enjoyed it so I figured more of that awesome style of gameplay can never be a bad thing

That's 2.4Ghz for a single core right? A 2.1Ghz dual core or higher will be fine. The game is pretty dependent on the CPU.

There's really no reason to buy L4D, unless they're bailing on porting the content over to L4D2.

I already have L4D2, I was thinking of getting the first one :(

How about the GOTY content?

Doesn't the PC port of it blow monkey chunks though?
i think saints row 2 had issues before because it demanded a cpu at least as fast as the x360's. i think it'd be playable as long as you have a midrange pc these days.

I already have everything I want today except for The Sims and Jamestown. Sims pack is way too much, but has anyone tried Jamestown? I've only looked at the trailer in Steam, but it looks cool.

My sis runs it on 1.6ghz i3 (dualcore with hyperthreading) just fine on maximum details.

For the first time this sale I'm stumped. Sims Medieval is 33% off (but for whatever reason isn't listed on the daily page or even the Sims 3 franchise sale page)...that's the best price I've seen it at but it's hard to swallow $33 for a daily deal, and it breaks my "No winter/summer sale games at $25 or higher" rule. Still, it's less than six weeks old, and it's a Sims game, so if I want to play it before the winter sale (at the earliest) that's probably the best price I'm going to get.

But. That would officially put me over budget and Portal 2 still hasn't gone on daily. Buying the base game of Sims 3 for $13 is an interesting alternative...but I still don't feel like I've wrung everything there is to get out of my Sims 2 collection.

Hmmmm. Hmmmm! Really going to have to sit on this one for a spell.

Damn I regret buying King's Bounty for 2,50 last summer. I've played it for 3 hours and it was bugged on Vista back then and the load times were horrible. I'd consider AP only now if I didn't already have KB, but still. Having played the demo, it's hard to go back to pure KB with the minor improvements I noticed.

It's the same price it was yesterday. Only the individual games have been discounted. And seeing as I can't mix my disc based base game with Steam based expansions, I feel royally cheated out of a deal here

So I cant mix? FUCK THAT EA!

Wanted to get expansions cheap :(

Animator. Respect knuckles.
I'm not sure why, but I already own Atom Zombie Smasher. I really don't remember buying it, and it doesn't seem like something I would be in a hurry to snatch up, but I'll check it out.

I think I'll get Jamestown. Are any of the Gothic games worth a look?

Activision, EA and Capcom once again wasting another slot.

Might get jamestown and Far cry 1+2 today.

L4D1+2 and Killing floor are great deals for anyone that doesn't has it. Great games but should be played with friends. If you know no one with the L4D games it's worthy getting a four pack and gifting the game around.

Well the gameplay is different enough, I know a few people that prefer the original L4D to L4D2 due to less specials and less spamming of said specials. Plus while they said they're porting the content over to L4D2 who knows when we'll get all the remaining maps.

shit so much stuff!
batman AA (double dipping, but i sold the 360 version, so w/e)
atom zombie smasher
king's bounty crossroads (it's the only kb i'm missing)
jamestown
farcry&farcry2 (buying em separately)
killing floor bundle

might bite on
gta4 complete (might double dip from 360)
arcania (it's the only gothic i'm missing so far, although i heard it suckz balls.. might grab myself risen since i sold the 360 version)
prototype (MIGHT doubledip since i sold the 360 version)

though day for me! ;_;

If Jamestown had online co-op i'd get it because my friend has the game as well :(

Do not buy Arcania 4 people, i rented it on 360 and performance issues aside, the gameplay willl kill your mind within 2 hours.

King's Bounty is awesome. those of you who have me on your steam list might have noticed that I have sunk 10-11 hours into the game in the last few days. It's one of those strategy-rpg hybrids that are really hard to put down. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes Heroes of Might and Magic, Warlords, or Lords of the Realm. Awesome bargain at $7 for the series.

Also Damn steam and their refusal to put Fallout 3 GOTY up as a daily deal! The game is currently being offered for $9.99 on D2D, and with the extra referral discount it will be $8.49.

Fallout 3 and Two Worlds 2 were two of the three games I wanted out of this sale (the other being Dead Space 2 for less than $15). I don't think I can turn down Fallout 3 for $8.49, even if I would rather have the game on Steam... Would kick myself if it skips the daily deals.

Yeah maybe I'll actually finish the shitty GTA IV story this time. Heard the Ballad of Gay Tony was good.

$10 bucks. Glad I didn't spend it on CoD4 yesterday woohoo!

Can you elaborate on this?

Batman: AA is mighty tempting. Already own the PS3 version that I never managed to get into due to my incompatibility with the DS3 controller.

Always wanted to try Prototype but I already have Infamous 1 & 2 in the backlog.

Decisions, decisions...

Don´t own any of the daily specials, but yet none of them are even remotely interesting for me. Feels good after 4 games and 3 DLC packages the last two days.

The Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition is a really good deal. Too bad they sabotage it by not allowing you to get a similar deal on the expansion packs. Most people already have GTA 4.

This....
