TLR on 360 has technical issues and runs like crap, which the PC version pretty much fixes. Basically the combat system is the best thing about the game while the story is mediocre.\

Also there seems to be a few JRPGs on the 360 that are kinda bad:
Star Ocean 4, Eternal Sonata, Infinite Undiscovery.

I'd put TLR above those in quality.

Not exactly the stiffest of competition. Although I did kind of like Eternal Sonata, I noticed that I am pretty much the ONLY one who did.

What happens if I buy Fallout 3 GOTY if I already had Fallout 3? I'm worried about my save games.

I was hoping the DLC would be cheaper, but the GOTY would be the best way to get all of them.

vocal minority. everyone who likes ME2 and MGS4 got tired of arguing with them. :)

Heh, true. I'm not saying they're bad games but it's not a forgone conclusion you will think they're fantastic like some would suggest.

Would I be able to play any of these games: Mass Effect 1, Amnesia, Mafia 2? I don't know much about PCs, so I can't find out what graphics card I have. There is a sticker on my laptop that says "Nvidia Optimus" though.

wEXuD.jpg
Search: Device Manager
Click on Display Adapter
voila, your graphics card.

Kinda need to know what that is. It is the most important piece of hardware when trying to figure out if you can run something. There's no way anyone can say yes/no unless they know your GPU.

Today the wallet works a little.

Picked up ME 2 and Fallout 3:GOTY.

Worms would have gotten me in previous sales, but I just have to look at Civ V and Frozen Synapse. If I want to learn a new strategy game, I'll crack open the wrapping on one of those first.

Is there some reason everyone seems to be all up on Last Remnant's nuts? 66 on Metacritic and generally awful reviews everywhere I've looked.

Splinter Cell Conviction is top-notch if you can remove your nostalgia goggles and approach it open-mindedly. They have a bunch of maps for t-hunt and other similar modes and they are tons of fun alone or in co-op.

How is SC: Conviction? Graphics look fantastical but I'm on the fence with this one.

edit: missed the last post. Thanks for the recommendation.

Installed: nVIDIA GeForce 310M with 1GB DDR3 SDRAM Dedicated; Intel GMA HD

That's your video card. I don't know anything about Mafia 2, but you should be able to run ME1 and Amnesia just don't expect ridiculously high settings.

eh, not sold on Last Remnant. Definitely going to pass. Would rather have $10 in my pocket for bloodlines in Sunday

It sounds like you can transfer them, based on a quick google search. Just back them up before you install GOTY to be safe.

Know that "Joe's Adventure" is a lot more open world and less story driven (a lot) than vanilla Mafia II, if that's okay with you, then go for it.

Gaaaah, One more day until my spending spree for ARES, FO1, FO2, and Terraria. Give me something steam!

P.S. do the original Fallout games run ok on Win7 x64?

Joe's has 4(5?) main missions that are as good as the stuff in the main game. There is a bunch of side mission filler in between, but those main missions are still worth the asking price.

Hmm... I have already played ME and ME2 on Xbox 360 and still own them, but I would like to get atleast ME2 on PC since I could get ME3 on PC. Should I bother with ME1 for carry over data or can I just get ME2?

So probably:

1. Back up saves
2. Delete Fallout 3
3. Install GOTY edition

I'm an idiot....but could anyone tell me where to find my spec for my laptop? I wanted to buy Last remnant but I doubt my shitty laptop could run it.

damn you Sony Vaio... daaaaaamn yooooou.

edit: reading up above it says I have the Mobel Intel 4 series express chipset.

That can run shit....

I can run Portal fine but...yeah.

BAH. Was waiting for Worms Reloaded in the hopes that the DLC would be on sale too, yet it seems it's just the main game on the daily deal and DLC is still -15% :(

Yea if it had been the game with DLC I would have gotten it. But it does indeed appear to be the base game only.

iirc, if you don't transfer a save you can answer a battery of questions about your ME1 decisions to simulate the effect.

I'm guessing he's like a lot of us seasoned STEAM sale buyers and made himself stick to a strict limit to prevent game buying meltdowns.

$11.75 here.

choices are going to be tough from here on out. :)

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are both fantastic to anyone on the fence.

I'm thinking about getting Last Remnant, surprised it went on sale! The price isn't bad so now I need to figure out if the game is worth playing or not.

Raxus said:
Why do they never discount the deluxe edition of ME2? It drives me nuts.
Seriously you are not missing anything if you skip the deluxe version of ME 2. All you get is a crappy Collector costume that looks horrible and a crappy rifle that is next to useless. Save your money and just buy the standard version of ME 2.

Little stealth used; crappy story about your daughter.

Last Remant get. Will I get time to play sometime in the next decade...I hope so.

Where do we go to upload a video to Steam? I found it the other day but can't seem to see it today...

Hmm... steam is still not seeing the videos on my youtube account.

My profile page says I have one video posted (should have two), but when I click on the videos link, it says I have none.
They pulled it. It glitched on the 6th like showing people completely the wrong videos (probably couldn't handle a million people trying to get he ticket from it, kind of the like the video download one except that one only killed bandwidth).
Edit:They bought it back? Oh...

Mafia II has 15 chapters from what I remember. Joe's adventure has 3 chapter length missions and some score attack stuff.

The first mission from Joe's adventure is one of the best in the game imo.

I bought Conviction Deluxe Addition and Universal Sandbox and now I have less than half of my Steam Wallet money left. Every day I buy something I regret. Stupid tempting weapons.

The 4 "proper" missions are fantastic. The side quest fillers kind of suck and can be a grind. If you really like the game, though, the "proper" missions are good enough to wanna slog through the filler.
