Held out on the sale up until this point but I finally caved today and bought Amnesia and Worms. Might play Worms sometime this year as it's a fairly pick up and play type of game. I'll probably get around to playing Amnesia sometime in 2012 or 2013 if I don't just completely forget I ever bought it.

Thinking about Total War but there is not much talk of it here so I am not sure. Impressions?

I didn't play Napoleon but I played a bunch of Empire, if you like the Total War series I think they're solid but that time period to me lacks the mystique that say Shogun or Rome Total War had so I'm not as fond of Empire nor really want to play Napoleon. For the price if you're remotely interested I think they're a steal but you kinda need to know yourself as a gamer. There's a lot of Total War games out there that are relatively modern, Rome, Medieval 2, Shogun, Empire and Napoleon and I don't think many normal people will really be attracted to all of them.

But they're solid games from a solid series, buggy, probably still so, but they're solid.

All you people that want Terraria should still buy it tomorrow if it's not a daily deal. I got it for $10 right before the sale started and I don't regret a minute of it. I've already put 25 hours into it and it would be in my top 5 if we had to make a goty list right now.

The game just has a gross amount of content for that little price. It shouldn't even be legal.

Terraria and a couple other games are still being picked up if they do not get a daily deal. I probably would have picked up Terraria last month if the Summer sale wasn't so close. I just want to save a few bucks if I can.

Original Mafia for 2.50. Still worth playing? Does it run on windows 7?

I recently played it and bought it at around that price during the winter sale. It does run on windows 7, maybe a few weirdnesses with the reflections that you may have to fix by tweaking the settings. Nothing game breaking though.

Now the game, if you have the capacity to put yourself in a 2002-mentality, then I recommend it. For its time, it had an amazing story and interesting game mechanics.

tl;dr: It looks like an open world game from 2002, but if you can get past that and somewhat archaic mechanics, then go for it... also it's only $2.50.

Mafia 2 is pretty nice game. Also it has great soundtrack.

I'll just say I love Mafia 2. I thought the voice acting was terrific, the story wasn't anything amazing, but it was very clear what was happening, I felt like I knew and cared about the characters and the gunplay was very good. The lightly destructible environments during firefights are cool (breaking glass, chipping walls) and the music is pretty awesome. I think it's a great game and a no brainer for $7.50.

Would I be able to play any of these games: Mass Effect 1, Amnesia, Mafia 2? I don't know much about PCs, so I can't find out what graphics card I have. There is a sticker on my laptop that says "Nvidia Optimus" though.

I own a similar card (I7 P). I can run ME1/ME2, Amenesia with no problem. Sure, you can't max out these games. But, you can get pretty close.

I've heard the PC version is far easier than the 360 version because you can use all "generals" or whatever, instead of using the regular padder units. Is this true? It'd actually make me more interested as I hate choosing between them.
