Hitman: Blood Money
X3: TC
Terraria

For me today; joining my 2011 Steam sale haul of:

Audiosurf
Beat Hazard
Bit.Trip Beat
Bit.Trip Runner
Capsized
DEFCON
Frozen Synapse
Inside A Star-Filled Sky
Recettear

...and bonus SSF4 AE, which I managed to grab when it was mistakenly put on sale. :D

There have been a few others I seriously considered but overall I'm happy with that - have already put a lot of time into Frozen Synapse.

Saige

I must do better.
I’ll pick up Blood Money again just so I have it on steam (worth it at this price).

And since it’s the last daily deals day I might as well buy the Puzzle Agent games and the Eschalon RPG games.

Man i really want Portal 2 but I want to have the PS3 version so I can have it on my PS3 and PC, ugghhhhh I wonder how long till I can find it at retail for that price
My thoughts exactly... then I played like 10 minutes on PS3 and put it down, redeemed the Steam copy and never touched the PS3 version again. Normally I like playing on consoles but Portal 2 I only play on PC now.

Does Forgotten Sands still require a permanent internet connection? Steam page says it does, but I know they're sometimes slow to update those, or don't update them at all.

Great haul today, my two most wanted sales managed to pop up:

Dead Space 2 & NWN2

It pleases me to see them both installing (very, very slowly).

I also picked up Prince of Persia since $5 is a fair price for the visuals.

There might be a couple games I want in the recap sale, but for the most part I'm all set. Good sale, I have a lot to play!

Would anyone be interested in trading a copy of Nimbus for a copy of Magicka?

To clarify, you would be gifting me a copy of Nimbus. In exchange, I would be gifting you a copy of Magicka. Currently, in the US store, Nimbus is priced at $5, and Magicka is priced at $6.69.

I snagged Magicka in a 4 pack, and I have a spare copy to give, which is why I'm interested in the trade. PM me if interested, I'll edit this post if I find someone to trade with.

Total Damage:

-Assasin's Creed Pack (Ubisoft login shit is lame...U-Play?? Seriously?)
-Terraria..haven't played it yet
-NWN 2 Plat (love DnD universe)
-DAO: UE...more great rpg goodness
-Universe in a Box...bought it out of curiosity
-RA3 & Company of Heroes Collection...dvds got lost in move and I wouldn't mind coming back to those after some starcraft 2 skirmishes
-Frozen Synapse...so far my fave pickup of the sale
-Hitman Blood money...so cheap and I haven't played it yet

All in all a great set of games to keep playing for a while for under $100. I stayed away from re-buying games I already played/own on consoles or double dips where I actively had the DVDs available (Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, etc.)

I have 3 copies of Terraria to give away for free.

PM me your Steam ID and I will send a game to the first three PMs I get.

Total damage €184.93 oh my, I went way over budget...

I regret nothing
Damn. I just hit $105. I think I'm 100% done though....

Playing Darksiders first! It's really fun, and I'm glad I have a 360 controller for it.

I just knew that Terraria would go on sale. I'm so happy...

...but I'm kind of annoyed that there's no Mac version. I don't know if I should get it now, or wait for it go on sale again (like during the end of the year sales) later down the line when I have my PC.

EDIT: NEVERMIND

Can't believe I see some people saying Portal 2 is too much
It's still my favorite game this year (although Journey will probably dethrone it), but if people want to hold out, it's not like it won't get a lot cheaper.

wait, I'm quite sure TLR wasn't on my daily deals page. Did I miss it? it still says 75% discount but when I click on it it is 33% (which means 20€)...

Since I already got Terraria as a gift the only thing left to grab is the Dead Space Pack.

VTM Bloodlines will be the last thing I pick up unless something I wanted resurfaces tomorrow.

I can't believe I almost forgot on the last day of new stuff ;p

And how much stuff there is! What a great day. Definitely Terraria and Portal 2...lots of maybes! NWN2 is a tempting price but I'll probably skip it. Dead Space 2 is also tempting, that's a great price, but I haven't finished the first one. Maybe the X super box but probably not. Time to look through the regular deals and see how much those are gonna set me back. One of the best and worst parts.

Quote. Has anyone got an answer?

I personally found NW1 disappointing in comparison to Baldur's Gate 2. You couldn't have a large party until later in the game, the story was boring and predictable, quests were unimaginative 'kill this guy, retrieve item', moral choices were unambiguously black and white with little consequence. I didn't like the game until the Horde of the Underdark expansion, which fixed some of my complaints. The multiplayer was competent but Neverwinter Night 2 is an upgrade.

Neverwinter 2 gets a lot right in having a fully developed party. It uses the 3.5 ADnD rule set. It has a big epic quest with a definitive goal. There are important choices the character can make, especially in developing their relationship with companions. Each chapter has its own arch and gameplay mechanic rather than taking you to new towns that let you do the same series of quests. However, its biggest weakness is the pacing. The opening act takes way to long with little of the main story being followed through. The The story itself has its tone occilating between serious story and self-parody. The influence system for companions is unintuitive and requires trial and error or a game guide to fully understand.

It's first expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, is a masterpiece. It's well paced with excellent writing, player choice, and quests. Each quest ties into the themes of the narrative. The influence system is refined and more transparent. Your mileage may vary on a central game mechanics involving the main character's new ability. I'd get the series for just this expansion.

The second expansion is a different beast altogether. You create your own party and go questing, similar to the Icewind Dale games. It's recommended for people who like Icewind Dale series or traditional DnD party building and questing.

I'll try for an answer once more: Does Blood Money have decent 360 pad support? Also, is there any reason to play it on PC instead of tracking down the 360 version for cheap?

Sam & Max Season 1 in the Mac section is not actually Mac compatible. :( Season 2 is though. Is it cool to just go straight into season 2 without playing season 1 first?

Sure that sounds like a big number but that is a ridiculous amount of entertainment for what would basically be 5 full price retail games.

My original plan was to spend about $150 lol

Had X3, Neverwinter Nights 2, Supreme Commander 2, and the Hitman pack at my cart at one point.

Ended up with X3 only. I'm so proud of myself.

Too bad The Witcher wasn't a daily deal. Maybe during the Christmas sale.

Thanks for the replies on Hitman: Contracts.

I went ahead and purchased the collection.

Any chance Fallout: NV goes back on sale on the last day? I regret not purchasing it at $15. I tried to get it on sale at BB for $10 with no luck.

Also, someone sell me on Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. I've admittedly, only watched a few clips on Youtube. It's received such praise, why?

So how many of those games will you actually play for longer than a day?

Does anyone have a rundown of what POP games are worth playing? Haven't played them since they were sidescroller.

Also, Is Forgotten Sands just a remake of Sands of Time?

Since someone dropped out, I still have one more spot for a Terraria four pack. Let me know if you're interested -- it's $1.87 per person. Or if you have a game you want to trade for it, let me know.

PM me or add me on Steam: SenseiJinx

Nice haul, sirrian. It's worth that price just for VVVVVV and Terraria, fuckin indie gaming at it's best.
