Mwaha, I got Terraria at 75% off! About time I profit from one of these price changes. (assuming Steam doesn't BAN ME 4EVAR for doing so ;p)

Does anyone know if there are fixes and such for Devil May Cry 3:SE on the PC? I'm thinking of buying it off of steam, but I've heard it's an awful port because of controller issues.

To be honest, a 75% for a game quite new and that still was selling good like terraria seemed a bit weird.
Maybe so, but I don't believe that 75% off was because of a human error and the discount was supposed to be 50%. Someone must be paid to check that all the prices are correct, right? And if it was due to an error I can't see how that went unnoticed for 4-5 hours.

I can't believe they raised the price of Terraria. Oh well.

Oh man, that's crazy. It was at 75% off for what, like 5 hours? Happy I bought it when I did :D

Honestly that was one of the deals that made this Summer Sale seem like the ones in the past. There haven't been as many stupidly low prices like there has been in the other summer sales IMO.

If it was Valve's fault, I imagine they'd be compensated. It's kind of weird though; it's happened at least ten times before.

I bet there's just 1 guy at Valve that updates all the sales and he just sits in his office block with a trollface mask on.

the early bird gets the worm.

same thing happened last Xmas with Devil May Cry 4. started off on sale @ $4.99, and was later raised to $9.99.

Why do you do this Steam?! There's no way this is a "oops, we put the wrong price." This is deliberate.
Steam does lots of oopses. I'm just glad their mistakes benefit the people who buy early: could you imagine the outrage if they had instead lowered the price 6 hours later?

Second rule of Steam sales: if it looks too good to be true, buy it before Valve fixes it.

Yeah, that's the sad thing. They can't go back now and that rule should be one to heed for the next sale.

Yeah, this price hike was meant to sucker in shmucks who put it in their cart while they looked at other Daily Deals, hoping they wouldn't notice and buy it anyway.

Yeah, shmucks like ME...almost.

Good thing I visited the front page again before pulling the trigger. Removed. Not really my kind of game anyway, and even if it was, I'd just buy Minecraft.

What's the best of today's deals otherwise? Sam & Max Complete or Neverwinter Nights Platinum, or something else? (No Portal 2 please, getting the PS3 version for the free double-dip)

Does anyone see on the banner where it says NEW deals every day? that doesn't make sense if tomorrow is just a recap, because then there wouldn't be any new deals!

or maybe I am just upset bloodlines wasn't a daily deal and I'm holding out all hope that there is still a possibility.

I bet the Terraria devs set a limit to the number of copies sold at the $2.49 price. This kind of thing has happened before I believe.

Well in that case they should cleary say that after X amount of sold copies the discount will change.

Even after disabling GFWL and doing the full screen mod, Fallout 3 still crashes constantly :/

Specifically, it always crashes when fighting a Super Mutant Brute in front of the radio station.

That's just how FO3 is heh. Sometimes it will just constantly crash over and over again. Then when I load it up the next day, in the exact same area in game, zero crashes. You'll learn to work around it, manual and quick save at least once an hour.

What's wrong with that? I enjoy saving money

I did some file editing.

Turns out FO3 hates more than 2 cores, and it'll crash in GNR constantly.
Changing some lines of code I found on the Internet seems to have worked well enough.

Wow they raised the price of Terraria.

I just gathered three other friends to buy it, and then Steam does this.

Either way, Terraria's pissed me off because it's a breach of trust. I wouldn't have minded if we'd been told about the limit/hike/whatever it was beforehand.

It's a good rule to heed in any case. Back when I was in college, Amazon.com screwed up and offered all NERF guns at like 5% off, except when it calculated the prices it was charging you the discount instead, so "You save $0.50" became "You pay $0.50". They fixed it in a few hours, but by then half the dorm had placed their orders.

Whenever big sales go on, there's bound to be mistakes and oversights. Maybe it's a sincere mistake, maybe it's an intentional "error" just to drum up business. Either way, why hesitate?

I agree.

Just came home to find out it was now $5. I should've bought it through the webpage on my phone. :(

If anyone wants to gift me a copy of Terraria I will gladly accept it and draw a nice (eh... well it will be something at least) "thank you"-picture and post it in this thread.

Mine are broken up into categories:

Currently Playing
Finished
Ignore
TellTale (since they're broken up into so many episodes I have a category for them)
Unfinished

Dumb question but how can you break them up into these lists? On my client the only options are the default groupings?

For real, this is pretty much exactly my experience with Fallout 3. Some days in the wasteland it would crash every 5 minutes and just be insufferable. Sometimes I could play for 2 or 3 hours at a time, without a single crash. Usually indoor areas were okay. I ended up quick saving pretty much every time I switched areas, or like every 5 or 10 minutes. I'm not even exaggerating.

I tried to make the best of it though, I'd stay up real late sometimes playing it just cause I'd get so hooked. Then it'd crash and I'd just say, "Oh well, it's way past time for bed anyway."

Yeah not touching Terraria anymore for that price, was about to jump the ship earlier. Surely this will have a pretty bad effect on Terraria sales for the remaining of the day?

If I was a small dev I would most certainly keep an eye out to see that the discount was correct, and this is not the first time this as happend.

Right click on the game in your game list, set category. Do that for every single game. Voila.

(Unless there's a way to do it for several games at once?)

I have a gift copy of Europa Univeralis III Complete I'm looking to unload. I paid $5 for it during the winter sale. It's going for $10 now. So I'm looking for $5 or a game of equivalent value. If anyone's interested lemme know!

(Posted this in the gifting thread a few days ago, which wasn't the place for it. Sorry about that!)

[sarcasm] I'm definitely not gonna buy it now, I was thinkin' really hard about that $2.59, but not anymore!! Fuck you Terraria and fuck you Steam! [/sarcasm]

The game was easily worth $10 when I bought it. If you're really interested read some reviews, read the thread, and determine if $5 is worth it to you instead of whining about what was probably a mistake.
