Weird (and nice, I guess :p)... never thought it could work cause the site automatically detects the card as non-american.

Maybe they realized they did want my money after all :p

Anyway, I'm thinking about picking up Two Worlds, is it worth it?

Yep, I'm done for this sale. Great haul and within budget, too.

My damage:
- Darksiders
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 Uprising
- Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight
- The Last Remnant
- Portal 2

All for less that 50€. Just finished Portal 2 in single player. So glad I stayed unspoiled for that, while I did spot one twist coming, there were several I did not. And that final shot you take was just awesome. How the heck did I know what to aim for there? I mean when you do it and think about it, it makes perfect sense, but figuring it out in a second? No clue.

Now next up is either one of the C&Cs or maybe try out The Last Remnant.

If your living outside America I can 100% confirm Dawn of War 2 Retribution works and activates fine on Steam without the use of a VPN or proxy.

I had to put in a fake us address to purchase though. Downloading now as we speak, and I'm in Australia!!!

Steam was selling it for $30 (-50% off 60USD) haha

BUY IT NAO!!!

When I try to check out I get

So, I accidentally purchased Rome: Total War Gold without realizing there was a Rome: Total War complete available for the EXACT SAME PRICE. Is there anyway to return a game if I haven't downloaded it so that I can get the better version, or am I screwed?

You could try contacting steam customer service. I don't know what's their policy on these thing though.

You need to put a fake billing address, the zip code, state and country need to be American.

Use CA 90210 for the state and zip code.

Damn, Magicka is half the price I payed for last week. Got the full DLC pack today for no specific reason. It's cheap anyway.

Also, can't let that BC2 deal slip. Bought.

Should I re-nab Bad Company 2 just to own it on Steam? I bought it off of EA's online store because I found it there on sale for about $20 two weeks after the game came out.

Victory! Despite fighting against a network connection that's failing horribly (my ISP should be sending me a new router in the next few days), managed to scrape together thirty tickets and 10 prizes from them.

Far better than I ever managed with the potato sack.

Hey guys, I have Bad Company 2 on PS3 and LOVING it. If I buy this on PC, can I play with a Dualshock 3?
I want to double dip due to the Vietnam package being cheaper on PC than PSN.

so is Fallout:NV worth it? i couldn't finish FO3 because of the bugs

I've just started playing new vegas, and it's great so far, haven't encounter any crashing bugs so far and I'm 13 hours playtime according to Steam. for the game itself, well, I love Fallout 3 until the final sequence which imo, totally sour the whole experience. it starts off slow in New Vegas, but as soon as I move away from the first town, I get to love it all again. now I hope the story gets better or at least not getting worse like FO3

is there a proper story and ending for Magicka? I always wary with these co-op games because I most likely play them alone, and if it's just a series of matches with minimal story and ending, I'll never be motivated to finish them.

Not really, I mean there is a big baddy that you learn about towards the beginning but that's about it.

Also, don't buy Magicka if you plan to play it alone. The game is at its best when you're with 3 friends killing and reviving each other. If you play it alone, you will quickly become frustrated.

Thanks for the Amazon link. DOW2 Retribution purchased!

I'm still debating on getting the gold edition. I like all my game series complete. So I might bite.

Np. I was debating that myself.. 20 bones i think. Anyone care to chime in? I am a DOW newb.

I'm debating whether to buy the THQ pack, I have all the COH, stalker, darksiders, DOW2 (none expansions), Saints row 2, Red faction, and titan quest on discs. Cant decide if I shoudl get this apck for titan quest on digital, DOW2 expansions, metro and homefront.

I would say no. The Titan Quest and Metro get pretty cheap often enough and I don't doubt Homefront will as well in a 6~12 months.

Inside A Star Filled Sky

Yay or nay?

Nay, I bought it on release day because its a game by Jason Rohrer who deserves money to make awesome game ideas, but this game was kinda.. meh.

Its not bad per se, actually the idea is really interesting, but the total lack of progression, levels, save system just leaves a serious feeling of it being a tech demo more than anything else. Not worth the asking price.

Thanks, that was one thing that was unclear to me from watching videos. I couldn't tell if there was any kind of goal or point to what was going on, or if difficulty just gradually ramped up. I still think the idea is interesting, but for over $5, i'm not so sure.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
Everytime I look at screens of Tiny Bang Story or that one time I played the demo, I get a little weirded out about how blatant a ripoff of the Anamita Designs stuff it is. The artists are really good, but it almost turns me off of buying the game.

Yeah, pass that one. Its a neat idea, as I mentioned in my previous post, but the rest of the game is missing.

But in terms of "difficulty", you are deciding it yourself, depending how deep you go to upgrade your items, but the feedback to that and the overview where you are and what consequences your actions on lower levels have on the upper levels is basically non-existant after a while.

That doesn't seem like a very good deal, primarily because Homefront is the premiere game right now in that pack and it's probably not worth it (I base this purely on internet impressions, I've never played it, just the developers last garbage game before Homefront.)

Yeah im kind of leaning on not getting in. Would buy if I could gift all the extra copies though. :(
