Wow... I'm at two days of the sale, and I haven't bought a thing yet. Am I sick?

In my defense, I either already own most of the stuff, or the prices aren't low enough for me yet.

Waiting for Amnesia:Dark Descent, EVE Online and maybe Civ 5 to go cheap. Of course I will never play any of them.
You can get Civ 5 from here. It's Steamworks so you have to register it on Steam anyhow.

EDIT: Nvm, read the previous page...

EDIT2: To make up for my lacking reading skills I can point you all to The Witcher 2 for 19,99€ at http://www.g2play.net/store/The-Witcher-2-Assassins-of-Kings-Steam-Key.html.
It's the Steam version. And yes, G2Play works. In some rare cases you'll have to e-mail them if you don't get the key in the e-mail at once.

yeah I am at the point were I don't even buy a $5 just cause 2 because I know I'm not going to play it anyway. I have already way too many game I have not played. Unless I really want something I'm not going to buy. I already have plenty of games from years of steam sales.

I made a Facebook account to get the ticket, so how do I take it off of there now?

same place you went to link it on your profile, should have an unlink button or something.

I am Mac only. Is there an easy way to see what is on sale only for the Mac? I know you can go to the Mac tab in the store and look to the left for deals, but it doesn't have listed everything on sale.

Title change made me lol hard. That shit is so true. About 75% of the stuff i've bought i've only played less than 10 hours. I don't really feel too bad about it because I got them during crazy sales but still. Team Fortress 2 is all I need for multiplayer these days and single player I play once, beat and then don't really have the time to replay them even though I might want to. I only replay the ones that are truly memorable like Max Payne 1/2, Bioshock and Half Life series.

Well yeah, if you already have 2 or 3 hundred games like a large number of people here, you're not going to be finding a whole lot. After this sale I'll pretty much have gotten all the older titles that I've been wanting (especially with that Vampire sale).

No, but you can press the magnifying glass in the search box, and search for just Mac games, then you can sort by price, metacritic rating etc.

Do you have to use in-game money/resources to summon the Just Cause 2 paid DLC? Also, are any of them useless? All of them looked pretty cool at first glance. Thanks.

I'm having a real bitch of a time getting BttF to run. It's like I can get it going, then come back later and it isn't working again. Doesn't seem right for a game that's only 6 months old.

Got Civ5 thanks to a trade with Snuggler. That's it for me today as I owe him now when something comes up that he likes.

My God. Valve has turned gamers into compulsive buyers! I have to ask a question, do you really play at least half of them?

Played some of them to death, then started some and never finished (Dead Space, I'll get back to you, it's not you, it's me). Others I've dabbled with or haven't tried yet. Buying publisher packs is bad for your backlog... Some are physical media replacements or gifts. Fair to say I've slowed down sales-wise cos there's that wall of games crushing me.

Feeling kind today, mate?

Yeah cos thank fuck it's Friday! PM me with a $10 game and your Steam account name or email address.

DMC4 is tempting, especially since I've never played it, but I'm having a hard time giving Capcom my money after some of the stunts they've pulled lately.

I think it's easily worth it still. As long as you're selective about what games you support, I think the message is clear.

Yea, that's me. Steam's got me listed at 323 games (actually less than that since it counts free games and dlc)... and yet I'm still itching to buy something.

Although, I think I've learned some restraint. I've skipped a lot of stuff so far because I tell myself that I won't play it in the near future. So that's an improvement.

So I made a really dumb mistake and bought two copies of Civilization 5. Normally I don't do the whole trading thing, but I was wondering if someone could gift me a copy of Terraria in exchange for Civ 5. That's like $5 profit on your end!

I'll do it. PM your Steam id.

Alright, I need some opinions:

I don't have any Star Wars games on my computer, so I thought I'd buy some. The only problem is, I don't know if they're any good (or good enough to warrant the price, which of course is cheap but I've already spent a lot of money). The ones I'm looking at are mainly Knights of the Old Republic and Empire at War, so would you recommend those games? Since Star Wars Battlefront is also cheap I wouldn't mind getting it, but it doesn't look as interesting.

Knights of the Old Republic is good. I am not a fan of any of the other Star Wars games on sale today, though.

Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy/Dark Forces are pretty fun, but they don't seem to be on for a daily deal and they haven't aged that well. They are still pretty cheap atm though.

That's what I heard. I think I remember my brother playing that game for hours when it came out on the Xbox.

The Jedi Knight games are pretty good, a Star Wars nerd should get a kick out of them and the lightsaber combat is a lot of fun. Jedi Academy, Dark Forces II, and Jedi Outcast are all worth owning, especially when they're that cheap.

Also, thanks to Horsemama for the trade. Between Torchlight and Terraria, I have a lot of indie goodness ahead of me. Fuck the Steam sales, I'm set.

I've picked up

Borderlands
KOTOR
Just Cause 2
Devil May Cry 4

Borderlands is giving me the oddest issue though. Seems that whenever I hover my mouse over an object/person, its sound disappears. So I can't look at people who talk to me or else I can't hear them :lol

I look forward to trying out the other games as soon as I can clear up some hard drive space.
